1. the guitar player
Pedro Fernandez about himself :
Although my music tends to vary greatly in styles, from soft acoustic numbers to bass driven funk, to heavy metal riff-oriented songs, my roots as a guitar player are in the blues. I always thought that learning to feel and play the blues was like learning to walk before one can run. My compositions don’t always follow the ‘verse-chorus, verse-chorus’ structure, and my main focus is on the melody. If there was a general rule to my composing, it would be having a strong sense of melody supported by a tight rhythm section, with the melody further developed by the solo sections, foregoing excess noodling for EP releases.I am a self taught player, and began experimenting at the age of 14, simply because I thought it would be cool to be able to play Crazy Train by Randy Rhoads and Hot Dog by Led Zeppelin. My interest in the guitar extended past that and I've performed all over North America in various bands over the last ten years. Now I am focused on writing and recording the music I hear. Not all of them are masterpieces, but all are dear to me and for what it's worth, I always play it from the heart. My compositions so far have been purely instrumental with no singing, but I would like to work with talented vocalists in the near future. This year I am continuing to develop my producing skills, recording independent albums, performing live as well as trying my hand at film scoring. There is also a video in the works for an unreleased song! Please enjoy an independent review of my latest CD, Beautiful Illusion below. ---Beautiful Illusion Review by Carmella "Lips" AmorettoThe first full-length studio album from Pedro Fernandez shows the guitarist coming into his own as a composer, matching his prodigious talent as a performer. The result is an entertaining and exhilirating mix.The ear popping "Kong Is Loose" is balanced by more reflective pieces such as "Saving Grace" and "Brenda Lee." The high-powered "Psycho Monkey" and "Die Young, Live Forever" are complemented by sexy-funky "Superlicious Cosmic Love Bubble" and "Mr. McHappy Pants." Unlike most guitar-god solo recordings, Beautiful Illusion avoids the sort of technical noodling that is uninteresting to everyone except other guitarists, opting instead for a collection of high-quality music that is full of compositional experimentation without ever getting stale or alienating the 'songs need words' audience. Beautiful Illusion is worth of the Creative Advisory attached to it, which states that the 'music herein is a veritable luxuriance of sublime sonic awesomeness'.

Amor eterno, e inolvidable
Tarde o temprano estaré contigo
Para seguir amándonos
Yo he sufrido tanto por tu ausencia
Desde ése día hasta hoy, no soy feliz
Y aunque tengo tranquila mi consciencia
Sé que pude haber yo hecho más por ti
Oscura soledad estoy viviendo
La misma soledad de tu sepulcro
Tú eres el amor del cual yo tengo
El más triste recuerdo de acapulco
Como quisiera, ay, que tu vivieras
Que tus ojitos jamás se hubieran
Cerrado nunca, y estar mirándolos
Amor eterno, e inolvidable
Tarde o temprano estaré contigo
Para seguir amándonos
The lyrics of Pedro Fernandez's song "Amor Eterno" express the pain and longing of a person who has lost their loved one. The song portrays a deep sense of grief, as the singer is unable to come to terms with the absence of their partner. In the first verse, the singer describes their sorrows, as their eyes cry in silence for the love that they have lost. They see the reflection of their own suffering in the mirror and cannot let go of the memories of the past. The pain of separation is so intense that the singer would rather be asleep than awake because of the unbearable pain of not having their loved one with them.
The chorus of the song expresses the singer's desire to be with their loved one, even after death. They wish that their partner would still be alive, and they could look into their eyes forever. The love that they shared was eternal and unforgettable, and they have faith that they will be reunited with their loved one someday to continue loving each other.
In the final verse, the singer is still struggling with their loss and cannot find happiness without their partner. They acknowledge that they could have done more for their lover while they were alive, and this deepens their sorrow. The singer refers to the solitude they feel as a reflection of the physical emptiness of their partner's grave. The love that they shared in life now exists only as a painful memory.
Overall, Pedro Fernandez's "Amor Eterno" is a heartfelt song that expresses the profound grief of a person who has lost their loved one. The lyrics portray the pain and longing of the singer, who yearns for their partner even in death.
