In 2005 they released their debut album, Hold Your Colour. Critically, the album was well-received in both the United Kingdom and Australia. In addition, it was one of the biggest selling Drum and Bass releases of all time. Pendulum have also collaborated with Freestylers, releasing the single "Fasten Your Seatbelt". MC $pyda and DJ Tenor Fly also feature as vocalists on "Tarantula".
Pendulum's sound is typically heavy beats accompanied by low, buzzing bass lines, overlaid with synthesized leads. As of their second album, In Silico, further experiments with sound are evident with many more elements from rock and typical electronic music being incorporated into their music. "In Silico" is Pendulum's first album for Warner Bros. Records via the bands Ear Storm imprint.
Their track "Vault" was played by almost every DJ and was declared by annual Knowledge Drum’n’bass Awards as The Best Track of the Year. They have also created many remixes, including a remix of Voodoo People by The Prodigy.
The band's third album "Immersion" was released on 24th May 2010, entering the UK album charts at #1 at the end of that week.
In 2011, members Swire and McGrillen started their side project, Knife Party, as a way to create different kinds of electronic music. It has since become their primary focus, however they have not ruled out the possibility of new Pendulum material in the future.

Fasten Your Seatbelt Feat. The Freestylers
Pendulum Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Soundboy...you're too young to play that sound now...
Combination style!
Ladies and gentlemen...fasten your seatbelts!
The lyrics to Pendulum And Fresh Feat Spyda And Tenor Fly's song Fasten Your Seatbelt can be interpreted in a few different ways. The first line addresses a "soundboy," which in Jamaican music culture refers to a young, inexperienced DJ. The lyrics are cautioning this young DJ that they are not yet ready to play such a powerful, high-energy sound. This could also be interpreted as a warning to anyone going to listen to the song that it's going to be intense, so prepare yourself.
The lyrics then transition to a call for the audience to "fasten your seatbelts," implying that the song is about to take off and get wild. The combination style mentioned also references the combination of different styles of electronic music that the song blends together. Overall, the lyrics seem to be a warning to listeners that this song is going to be intense, unpredictable, and high-energy. It's an invitation to buckle up and get ready for a wild ride.

@MrPerson3572
True
@stevemed880
That means nothing when there are still better dub songs and dnb songs today. The truth is majority of music is trash so you can pick any well made song and say "still better than most songs out today" during any time period
@lv6892
This ain't dnb though.
@arminfreudenthaler2292
@@lv6892 THIS IS DNB. Pendulum still has a major impact in the present scene. They were worlds infront of anybody else
@lv6892
@@arminfreudenthaler2292 The track is definetly not drum and bass, it's big beat. Pendulum does make mostly dnb, yes...but if you can't tell the genre of this song you need to listen to more drum and bass man.
