i used to listen to dubstep all the time when i was nine to eleven. i have such nice memories with dubstep because my dad would drive me to school everyday and he played dubstep artists like skillex, as it was my favorite genre at the time. my mom was going through cancer treatments in those years so he had to drive me, and he always tried to make the best of our horrendous situation, so dubstep like this makes me reflect back on the times where he listened to this with me and played minecraft with me while he hooked this music up to the speaker. we were poor and we had to compromise a lot of stuff to support ourselves, but my dad really tried his best to give me some good memories out of that period of time.

This whole album is why I fell into deep love with electronic music. I remember I was 14ish when this album came out. Hot topic was still a very edgy store to go into and ppl would judge you for just going in lol. I remember buying this album in CD form. On the way home I MADE my mom play this album in the car. Me and her instantly vibing to all the tracks. man.... back when the only worries you had was which game you wanted to play, or what was for dinner. Damn. I'm so happily sad right now.

I miss the old skrillex. I get that artists change and all, but I'm so not okay with what he's doing. He has so much more potential. This guy literally changed electronic music when this album came out and no one had heard anything like it before, and suddenly everyone wanted to be like skrillex. now he's just riding the hype train with Jack Ü trap, mediocre house, and Justin Beiber instead of taking risks and continuing to change music around in amazing ways like he used to.

I'm not hating either, Skrillex is such a big inspiration to me despite what everyone says, he was one of the first electronic music artists I've ever listened to, and today electronic music has really changed my life. from helping me through tough times, to just bringing in new friends with the subject being electronic music. I just wish he'd continue to work at his full potential.
