The Shadow of Your Smile
Perkins Bill Lyrics

When you have gone
Will color all my dreams
And light the dawn
Look into my eyes my love and see
All the lovely things you are to me
It was far, too high
A teardrop kissed your lips
And so did I
Now when I remember spring
All the joys that love can bring
I will be remembering
The shadow of your smile
The Shadow Of Your Smile is a beautifully bittersweet song that explores the pain of loss and the lingering memories of a lost love. The opening lines "The shadow of your smile, when you have gone, will color all my dreams and light the dawn" alludes to the lingering presence of a former love and its effect on the singer's future. The lyrics seem to suggest that the memories of the relationship will continue to haunt the singer, both in his waking hours and in his dreams.
As the song progresses, the lyrics become more wistful and nostalgic. The lines "Now when I remember spring, all the joys that love can bring, I will be remembering the shadow of your smile" imply that the singer is reliving the happy memories of the past, but with a sense of sadness and loss. The final verse also hints at the fact that the relationship ended in tears, with the lines "A teardrop kissed your lips, and so did I".
Overall, The Shadow Of Your Smile is a poignant reminder of how the memories of a past love can continue to impact us long after the relationship has ended. The lyrics speak to the universal experience of heartbreak and the emotional scars that can linger long after the relationship has ended.

Very slow, blue but sung with almost a smiling voice is the perfect match of the 'musical ambiance' I'm looking for. Pitchblack is the night with somewhere in the far distance just a tiny light bowl, hardly to see... Small steps must I make on the invisible road who's heading to an insecure, unknown destiny, surrounded in darkness. Decisions have to be made. Not only by me. The answers I'm looking for are vague, like the shadow of myself on the dark road, who's behind me.

One dislike is like a miracle on YouTube; I've seen brilliant performances by solo guitarists at the highest level dissed.
