Born in Modesto, California, Perry was a founding member of the coalition of musicians and entertainers known as MF Family, or Majah Flavah Family, later known as YG Family. From the very beginning, Perry has been the go-to guy & inhouse producer for everyone in YG, crafting hits for Jinusean, Yang Goon, and 1TYM before releasing his own solo LP 'The Storm' in 2001. He would later go on to produce tracks for nearly every new artist to join YG including Se7en & Lexy.

The single 'Get Ready' from the album 'By Storm' was featured on the Korean release of the movie Rush Hour 2.

Perry is of Chamorro Guamese descent.

This was something people were not ready for. But I bet you anything, the royalties of K hiphop is about to take flight now. The world was not ready gor such a reality that Korean underground artists established. Masta Wu has been a lyrical beast on the streets and the whole album shows the undermines of how great artists were. The transition base is quite obvious for the new Kpop stars...but KHipHop was where it started and the world of realism is about to hit the world again...but on a whole better note. The OG family! I really miss the collaboration between YG family. To be honest, old YG family is really like a mafias and have individualism I mean everyone is really different and their skill is on another level.
