Perry Como Lyrics

Do you think that you could love me too?
Sposin' I should hold you and caress you,
Would it impress you, or distress you?
[Chorus]
Sposin' I should say "For you I yearn,"
Would you think I'm speakin' out of turn?
Would you take my love and share it?
I'm not sposin',
I'm in love with you!
[Chorus]
I'm not sposin',
I'm in love with you!
Perry Como's song "Sposin'" talks about falling in love with someone and wondering if they would reciprocate the same feelings. The song begins by questioning whether the person he's talking to thinks they could love him back if he were to fall in love with them. The lyrics raise the possibility of physical affection and whether it would be appreciated or rejected by the other person. The chorus delves deeper into this theme by asking whether expressing one's love would be seen as inappropriate or perhaps too forward. He wonders whether the person would accept his love and want to be a part of his life.
The lyrics of "Sposin'" illustrate the dilemma that many people face when they begin to develop romantic feelings for someone. The song reveals the insecurities and fears that go along with putting oneself out there and taking the risk of being rejected. It highlights the importance of communication and honesty in any relationship. Through its soulful melody and poignant lyrics, "Sposin'" reminds us that love is a journey that requires mutual effort and commitment.
