Pete Murray Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Even if everything is falling down,
But don't lose that vision
And don't lose your courage
Until you are standing right here with me now
I want you, to stand up and fight every moment with me
For the truth, it's your love
In my shoes, so tell me when do you wanna be free?
Only you can tell me
And high on emotion, has been a killer for days
It's wearing you out until you slowly fade
Where is that needle, or that damaging blade
It's cutting you up until it empties your gauge
I want you, to stand up and fight every moment with me
For the truth, it's your love
Your destiny that I see
In my shoes, so tell me when do you wanna be free?
Only you can tell me
Hold on, hold that tight
Colors on or color blind
Talking how sweet the ride
Dumb is gone into your life
I, I want you, to stand up and fight every moment with me
For the truth, it's your love
Your destiny that I see
In my shoes, so tell me when do you wanna be free?
Only you can tell me
When do you wanna be
I, I want you, to stand up and fight every moment with me
For the truth, it's your love
Your destiny that I see
In my shoes, so tell me when do you wanna be free?
When do you wanna be free?
When do you wanna be free?
When do you wanna be free?
When do you wanna be free?
The lyrics to Pete Murray's song "Free" are about finding inner strength and courage in the face of challenges and adversity. The first verse talks about persevering even when everything is falling apart and not losing sight of your goals. The chorus encourages the listener to stand up and fight for what they believe in and to embrace their destiny. The second verse acknowledges the struggles and temptations that can wear us down, but urges the listener to resist them and keep pushing forward. The bridge seems to be about holding onto hope and finding happiness in life's journey, even when things may seem difficult or unclear.
Overall, the song seems to be about taking control of your life and being true to yourself. It's a powerful reminder that we have the strength within ourselves to overcome obstacles and achieve our dreams.

This song reminds me always of a time when my now wife and I were on different continents, months apart, and she was stuck at home caring for another. She is now living happily in Australia and is truly free. Thanks Pete Murray, for your songs being there at different times of our lives.
