Adding bassist Chris Bekker, they released an EP in 1986; however, internal tensions led to a split in 1987.

Petit Cheval Lyrics

Take a look at the world
See the mess that we're in
Don't go blaming yourself
I can see what you see
I can feel what you feel
Yeah, the pain is the truth
But we are the people
The rulers of our time
We are the people
All God-blessed, divine
'Cos we all go round the world, we go
We all go round the world, we go, here we go
Steady now
Yeah (Oh yeah-eah)
Trust somebody like you
Using someone like me
Now I'm burning, I'm burning, I'm burning with fever
It's hot, can't you see?
I can see what you see
I can feel what you feel
Yeah, the pain is the truth
The pain is so real
'Cos we are the people
The rulers of our time
We are the people
All God-blessed, divine
'Cos we all go round the world, we go
We all go round the world, we go, here we go
Uh-mmm
'Cos we all go round the world, we go
We all go round the world, we go
We all go round the world, we go
We all go round the world, we go
We go round and round and round
We go round and round and round
We go round and round and round
We go round and round and round, ha!
'Cos we are the people
The rulers of our time
We are the people
All God-blessed, divine
'Cos we all go round the world, we go
We all go round the world, we go
We all go round the world, we go
We all go round the world, we go
We go round and round (Round and round)
We go round and round (Round and round)
We go round and round (Round and round)
We go round and round (Round and round)
'Cos we all go round the world, we go
The song "Round the World" by Petit Cheval is a powerful message about the state of the world we live in and our role in it. The opening lines set the tone for the song, inviting the listener to take a look at themselves and the world we live in. It acknowledges the mess that we are in, and rather than placing blame, the song embraces the idea that we are all responsible for creating the world we live in.
The lyrics go on to discuss the pain that we all feel from the chaos and destruction around us, but it also highlights the potential we all have to create change. The song asserts that we are all divine beings and rulers of our own time, suggesting that we all have the power to make a positive impact on the world we live in.
Despite the challenges we face, the song remains hopeful with its catchy chorus of "We all go round the world, we go." Petit Cheval uses repetition to drive home the message that we are all connected and share a common fate. The song ultimately encourages listeners to take action and make a difference in the world we live in.
