Petite Noir Lyrics

Everything wiped away
Now it's out of control
Just give me some change
You say goodnight
In your dream (In your dreams, in your dreams)
But what a surprise
The people, the people, the people, the people, the people
And I'm just talking about change
Too many of us left anyway
We all just trying to grow
Trying to get some change
You say goodnight
In your dream (In your dreams, in your dreams)
What a surprise
The people, the people, the people, the people, the people
The people, the people, the people, the people, the people
The people, the people, the people, the people, the people (Yeah)
The people, the people, the people, the people, the people (Yeah)
The people, the people, the people, the people, the people (Yeah)
The people, the people, the people, the people, the people (Yeah)
The people, the people, the people, the people, the people (Yeah)
The people, the people, the people, the people, the people (Yeah)
The people, the people, the people, the people, the people (Yeah)
The people, the people, the people, the people, the people (Yeah)
The people, the people, the people, the people, the people
The lyrics of Petite Noir's song "Colour" are emotive and reflective, mostly fixated on the theme of change. The repetition of the phrase "I'm just talking about change" emphasizes the importance of this concept not just to the singer but to society as a whole. The first verse portrays a sense of powerlessness, with everything wiped away and the situation spiralling out of control. The use of the demand "just give me some change" implies that there is a need for something to be different, that the current state of affairs is not working for those experiencing it.
The chorus concentrates on the theme of dreams, specifically how the people who inhabit them are both surprising and significant. It is almost as if dreams are an escape from reality for the singer and that even in this alternate world, the people are still paramount. The second verse continues the focus on change in a more positive light. With the recognition that "too many of us left anyway", the need for growth becomes crucial. Change is the only way to move forward and progress, and this is reinforced through the repetition of "trying to get some change".
All in all, the song offers a commentary on the current state of our world whilst also acknowledging the capacity for things to get better. The need for change is reinforced throughout the lyrics, with the importance of growth being highlighted as a fundamental force in this process.

I believe Beyoncé wanted her audience to find this masterpiece. Her song Spirit/Bigger interluded to Petite Noir's video, who is the original creator of this video imagery.
I think she's sending us a message through her music.
Beyoncé is brilliant. She put us on an Easter egg hunt.
It's sad to see negative comments about Beyoncé's copying. We live in modern day technology. Do we really think we can get away with stealing, nowadays? Especially, if we put it on camera for the world to SEE.
But to those who understand her meaning of this...
🐝Me: "This is Picasso in music form. I understand her art in the lyrics of 'Spirit' and 'Bigger'..." with that being said, "Petite Noire's lyrics in this video is The Masterpiece ."

@Marcel what's your take? Do you think inspiration was drawn from this video to produce that of Beyonce's 'SPIRIT'?
Marcel
What I'm not an expert in these things but the two videos look different to me
MAWULI GOHOHO
@Marcel likewise. However, majority are basing their arguments on certain scenes [or should I say frames] looking similar to that of "SPIRIT'S"
