Two Rivers
Petula Clark Lyrics

(Petula Clark)

I was born in a great big city
With a river running by
London (London)
And this is the town that I loved and knew
This is the place where I lived and grew
And dreamed of love

Then, I met someone with a different voice,
Had a different sound, from a different town,
From a different land, and he took my hand
And I followed him, oh yeah

Now, I live in a great big city
With a river running by
Paris (Paris)
And this is the town that I've learned to know
This is the place where my love can grow
And the dream of love has come true

In my heart with every beat,

Two rivers flow, two rivers meet
And love, and love

Fell in love with this song when I was in 2nd grade. I cried back then. So much of this song parallels my life....I met someone with a with a different voice, with a different sound from a distant town from a different land and he took my hand.... and love....18 years and love.
