1). Pianoman is an alias of dance music producer James Sammon from Bradford, West Yorkshire who shot to number 6 in the UK Charts with the hit single “Blurred” in June 1996. His follow up to Blurred released on 3 Beat Records was from a Belinda Carlisle sample of “Live Your Life Be Free” and was titled “Party People” and narrowly missed a place in the Top 40.
2.) Classical artist who prefers to remain anonymous
Dutch Record Company had the privilege to get to know the classical artist Pianoman as he was and still is a regular visitor of the recording studio "Studio van Schuppen" located in the Netherlands. For fun Pianoman started playing the Steinway Grand Piano used in the recording studio and loved it. Friend and recording engineer/producer Jochem Geene secretly recorded some of the late night improvisations he was performing and asked him about his opinion to release these on a CD. His answer was clear: the label Dutch Record Company was allowed to release an album containing some of his best improvisations but without mentioning his real name. Secondly he insisted that all earnings should be used for new future recordings of young and gifted musicians. Pianoman authorized his friend Jochem Geene to look after all business interests due to this release. Listen and covince yourself of pianoman's fabulous pianoplaying, his emotions and his capability of connecting centuries of music into a complete new style just by improvising!

Pianoman Lyrics

Or the guy's wish to take or give
However as backing away, he fell and lay
Dead amongst the fireworks display
It's not quite the way to say your goodbyes
It's not quite the way to behave
Secured you a concrete grave beneath a motorway
Gold scissors cut the ribbon and set them loose
Your bones but that's just the disadvantage
Of not speaking a second language
(The problems and bad reception)
(Resulting in blurred perception)
The lyrics of Pianoman's song Blurred seem to be telling a story of a person who struggled to understand someone's plea to live and another person's wish to take or give something. The next few lines describe a scene where someone falls and ends up dead among a fireworks display. The singer seems to be reflecting on how this is not the right way to say goodbye and not the way to behave. The final lines of the verse seem to be talking about a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open something new. The ceremony is expected to generate vibrations that will shake people's bones, but this is just a disadvantage of not speaking a second language. The last two lines of the verse seem to be suggesting that the problems and bad reception that arise from not speaking a second language can lead to blurred perception.
The overall interpretation of the lyrics seems to be pointing to the importance of clear communication and understanding between people. There is a contrast between the confusion and misunderstanding in the first few lines and the consequences that arise from this lack of understanding. The image of the person dying among the fireworks seems to be a metaphor for the dangers of not being clear or open in one's communication. The final lines of the verse seem to be pointing to the importance of being able to communicate effectively in different languages and the disadvantages that arise from not being able to do so.
