And they met rita and all the gents
The band members encountered Rita and her associates

Dropped their instruments
They stopped playing music

Instead of making music they made love
They engaged in romantic affairs with Rita

On the upper deck
The lovemaking occurred on the highest part of the ship

She was a devastating hurricane
Rita was immensely attractive and captivating

Made the boys a wreck
The band members were captivated and obsessed with her

They'd all romance her and serenade her
They all tried to woo her with romantic gestures and songs

But when they landed the air the waiter
The waiter named Pierre stole Rita's heart

Landed rita because he used to beat her
He won Rita over because he was previously abusive towards her

And now the boys are in a honky-tonk
The band members are performing in a noisy bar

And they're playing the blues
They are performing sad music to express their emotions

They're just a brokenhearted eight piece band
They are now a band filled with heartbreak

As soon as they awoke the swabbed the deck
Once they woke up, they cleaned the deck with a broom

Shined the captains shoes
They polished the captain's shoes until they sparkled

They played for dinner
They performed music during dinner time

Then washed the dishes
Afterwards, they cleaned the dirty dishes

Made the beds every night
They also tidied up the sleeping quarters each evening

Then they met rita
They started to interact with Rita

And greater she caused a mutiny
Rita's presence caused a rebellion amongst the band members

The captain pleaded the entire trip
The captain begged them to play music throughout the journey

He constantly requested for them to perform

But they just followed rita around the ship
However, they disregarded the captain's pleas and trailed behind and followed Rita

Like a swarm of bees
They followed Rita in a manner similar to how bees crowd around flowers

On bended knees they would beg to date her
They earnestly begged for Rita's affection

But they lost out to pierre the waiter
They lost the competition to Pierre, who won Rita's heart

He got rita
Pierre successfully won Rita's affection

Because he used to beat her
Pierre's past abusive behavior towards Rita propelled his victory

And now the boys are learning how to serve
The band members are now working as servers

Hot tomatoes and stew
They are serving tomato dishes and stews
