Both had drummed with Ministry, and were pleased with the notion of a rock music band with two drummers, rather than the usual one. The duo formed Pigface, and began a revolving-door collaboration with many experimentally-minded musicians, many of whom — especially early on — had recorded for the influential industrial music record label Wax Trax.
Trent Reznor was also an early partner, when, due to legal troubles, Nine Inch Nails were prevented from recording under that name. "Suck" — cowritten with and sung by Reznor — was something of an underground hit, and Reznor later rerecorded the song.
Rieflin eventually left Pigface, leaving Atkins in charge. The dozens--perhaps hundreds--of musical collaborators to record and perform with Pigface have ensured that each album, and each song, is unique. This practice has, however, led to some negative criticism due to a perceived lack of continuity.
Pigface concerts are characterized by high-energy performances. Frequently there will be upwards of 10 people on stage at any time during the show. Not only that but Martin Atkins and the rest of the band love interacting with the audience, and members of the audience are nearly always invited on stage for the encore.

My generation running on MT,
Super glued to the T.V.,
Dreaming of prosperity,
Talking incessantly
about inconsequentialities.
These lyrics speak to the struggles of the modern world. The opening line references Allen Ginsberg's "Howl," which is a poem about the counterculture and the struggle against conformity in society. The line is powerful because it tells the story of the "best minds" being wasted on meaningless distractions that do not actually have any impact on society or the world. The line "running on MT" refers to the idea of people running on empty, similar to cars running on empty gas tanks. The television represents a distraction from the real world, and people get so caught up in it that they end up dreaming about a life that is not attainable. The focus on prosperity is particularly timely, as many people in modern society are caught up in the idea of working hard to achieve material success.
The lyrics are also critical of modern society in general. The line "talking incessantly about inconsequentialities" implies that people spend too much time talking about things that really do not matter. In a world where we have so many important issues to address, it is easy to get caught up in gossip and other trivialities. The lyrics suggest that we need to focus on the important issues facing society rather than obsessing over trivial things that do not really matter.

Jesus said " Lay down your arms, Jesus said "Children come home"
I saw the best minds of my generation running on empty, Superglued to the T.V.,
Dreaming of prosperity, Talking incessantly, Saying nothing
Sleeping on platforms at train stations, Sipping chemical cocktails,
Alive to the Universe, Dead to the World.
Hallucinating delusions of media reality in Camden Town, Desperate in the pursuit of cool
He's in a suit, she's in a straight jacket, 7-11 nightmares at 3am and the moon is quiet and holy.
Watch all the bridges collide, Well I think we might have to lay low, for a while
I saw the best minds of my generation caught up in the virtual reality of living
Memorizing pin numbers and secret codes,
Swaying robotically to non-existent rhythms, Flashing memberships to clubs so exclusive nobody belongs,
Jesus said " Lay down your arms" Jesus said "Children come home"
Scared shitless, witless, clueless, useless, tightlipped, tightfisted, tightassed, half-assed
Sniveling, groveling, moaning, groaning Sniveling, groveling, moaning, groaning sniveling, groveling, sniveling, groveling
The city's all wrapped up in plastic like an electronic cocoon.
If you lay in the street you can hear it humming, Building up slowly from underground
If you close your eyes you can observe the blueprint The man-made dna that spirals breathlessly out of control,
As synapses collapse, bridges snap, into a restless utopia, Nutopia
Now the rain has arrived and I think we might have to lay low
Watch all the bridges collide and I think we might have to lay low.

Still have the original CDs. Fook is hard to beat and the earlier ones are definitely more raw, but this was their peak IMO.

Cool tune. I love how they mixed this album. Very audiophile-worthy, especially when you listen with a good headphone rig.
