Currently the band consists of Alex Lee the guitarist/ vocals, Jason Lee on bass, Nathan on drums. The band took influence from Nirvana, Sex Pistols, Ramones, Distillers and Alice In Chains for the Audio-rape EP, however, with more recent anarchistic songs, influence has been taken from anarcho-punk bands such as The Exploited, D.O.A. and Dead Kennedys. Pin-Up Godiva have played a number of small local live performances and have recently released their new EP Bored of Beginning showcasing much stronger, better quality recordings. Past key band members have included: Kait x Angst (Dunne), Jordan Goodier, Kushti Westwood, Rae Lewis-Aeling and Calum Evans.

Pin-Up Godiva played 'Pencore Rock Festival' in June 2012 in Penmaenmawr, North Wales alongside other bands, such as Artis Fiction, Zebedy, Severenth, Afterglow, Rotten Plasma, Dinosaur Garden, We Buy Bombs and many more!

For anyone reading this, these are beautiful, just as advertised. The clips are really easy to use and the hair looks and feels so natural!

I have quite a bit of hair still, long, no bald spots, but I'm globally thinning out - a lot. For me, this was the perfect time to start getting used to hair pieces.

So I thank you both for being a) an adorable duo and b) for providing these oh-so-helpful and inspiring and fun videos.

I'm a working physician but, got to say, I have fantasies of also being a Godiva Secret Wigs rep over here on the East coast because these hair pieces are really show stoppers and confidence builders.

Thanks for being so gracious as you addressed the problem many of us have but are too embarrassed to talk about.

I’m blessed to have a hair stylist who does custom pieces. She has already colored and highlighted my hair and when the hairpiece comes in, she will color and cut it to match mine. She said it will last a lifetime.

Your video helped me understand how this will work.

The part I’m not sure about is how to wash it and care for it. Do you have a video for that?

She also said she doesn’t know anyone who doesn’t have two hairpieces so when you send one into the salon for styling you have the other to wear.

Dear Jennifer, I understand your fear - here are some facts to consider about your future and your hair. Sometimes, hair thinning isn't really genetics; it could be caused by something that you (maybe also your mom) are doing in your life. Our bodies need healthy fats (avocado, healthy oils, etc), lots of water and enough healthy, grass fed protein - meats and fish. A low protein diet with lots of sugar and processed foods and unhealthy starches can slow or hurt the growth of lots of your body - but it shows in our skin and hair. Adding Vitamin A to a healthy diet many times helps. Also stress and negative thinking and not being loving to ourselves causes issues with our bodies. Speaking down to ourselves hurts too. There's a book that changed my life called "You can Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay was life changing in many ways for me - maybe take a personal inventory on how you take care of yourself to begin to uncover if there is something you could do. You may be surprised. Many of us wear wigs and pieces because it is uplifting and freeing to choose who we want to be and look like. And our wigs are light and do not inhibit hair loss.

For wigs, you do not need clips to secure your wigs, there are lots of other ways. And, the metal clips we use and sell have a gentle rubber gripper - this way, when you snap the clip, your hair is connected to the rubber - this helps. Also, there are steps to remove the clips from your hair. Never pull it right through, just gently lift the clip away...

I love your honesty! It truly is a “BITCH”! My hair started falling out 5 years ago after knee surgery, and I’m only in my 40’s. The stress of my husband getting dementia at 50 has kept it thin. I know that I have seen women in public that have thin hair and it becomes a focal point. That’s what you see first, now how she looks as a woman or how beautiful she is.

I am so impressed with all you just demonstrated. Love it. I still have lots of thick hair in back, but thinning so on top and front sides. My dilemma is color choice, since I never have exact same shade every time I do my roots then highlights. Really like the creamy toffee shade, probably closest to the ends of my hair most of the time. How do you select a color with various colors of highlights?

Hi Linda, Rochelle here! No worrying about your root color, since the top piece covers the roots. I always pick a color piece I love, then take it with me to my hairdresser and ask them to match my color to the piece...so much easier that way! If you love the color make sure they took notes on their formula so they can repeat it next times. And, if you noticed, I love to keep many colors in my hair and even darker underneath. This way it all blends great! As for color choices, you could purchase some swatches of colors from us if you like. Here's the link for that:

I agree about getting older, but WE'RE STILL STANDING! HA. I just received my 'topper' today due to thinning hair on top AND sides where once I had hair thickness like a carpet! WOW, is all I can say! What a difference it makes. I got it in the Sandy Silver because I have light brown hair with some gray in it and it matched my long hair PERFECTLY! Wished the long toppers came in Sandy silver. But I now can put my long hair in a pony tail or clip it up in a claw and NEVER feel self conscious as previously there was not enough hair to cover my ears (think 'see thru')OR thats its a "wig topper". I wore several wigs when I had cancer in 2013, but when my hair started growing back, I just had them in the drawer. So...I went on your website & watched the videos of how to make wigs into toppers :) I already had a medium topper, but I wanted a couple more, so I cut them!! I inherited my mom's pattern baldness and around 40 I started loosing my hair...it was awful; I tried everything; lotions, supplements, even had hair implanted - it didn't work. I finally just allowed myself to mourn the loss of my hair and shaved what was on my head off and got a wig. That was 5+ years ago and I've gotten to the place that I'm good with wearing wigs. Honestly, 99% of the people I meet have no idea I'm wearing a wig! And that 1% who do know...who cares anyway?!

Wow! A friend at church referred me to your channel here and I've been browsing and yes, shopping (just ordered Freedom the other day). But this video, especially your opening, was like you had seen into my heart. I used to have really luscious thick hair. I'm truly okay with it being silver now, but the extreme hair loss is just heart breaking. How many times have I almost thrown a brush or comb across my bathroom because "I can't do a thing with this mess!" ??? These are the most Beautiful, natural looking wigs I’ve ever seen! I’ve been sitting here over an hour, and I’m so impressed I want one of each!! I believe my color would be Silver Stone. Aside from my hair thinning from aging, I have begun to notice a little more hair loss when my thyroid level is a bit low, due to Graves’ disease. Are your wigs easy to care for and are they washable, also, can a low heat curling iron be used? I WISH your company would offer a Multi-shading wig along the lines of Medium
brown with all over blond highlights and/OR gray lights! I can’t decide which one. Things are changing w me! I’ve been wanting one of these for years but haven’t seen it. Cheaper companies offer these shades, but I want a good wig or two that lasts longer than 6mo-1yr! I think your wigs may be better. I also worry when the wind blows hard I won’t look like wearing a wig as “scalp” is shown. There’s been a lot of effort to make blond wigs look natural; wish the effort would be for brown-wearing customers. I’m not ready to be ALL gray (May never be) but tired of coloring. I do like the brown and gray mix on me. My natural coloring has got several shades of gray and the brown (from coloring) I also have a little blond & a tiny reddish in the brown. I keep waiting.

My hair loss is so very much on the front...talking maybe a total of 100 hairs across the entire front of my former hairline 😔 but I try to wear toppers, even though I don't have much hair for the clips to grab onto. This is the long topper that I purchased and it is wonderful. I had been teasing the hair on the top of my head for extra height for so many years that it was getting really thin on top thru the crown area. Plus I foil my hair and was always having to deal with grow out and needing to get the roots re-foiled. Now with this topper I can go forever without worrying about getting my hair grow out foiled because I just put on the topper and no one knows because the topper always looks perfect. I no longer have to tease my own hair because the topper has enough of a lift already. I definitely am going to try doing the hairstyles that you just showed us how to wear in this video because it looks so cute that way!

Thank you so much for your open honestly about aging and about hair changes. I just turned 30 this year and my hair is starting to thin, I didn’t have thick beautiful hair up begin with, but I could work with it in my 20 it seemed. After hospitalization for COVID 18 months ago I lost half my hair. That was the only true beauty I had. I was devastated but the worst thing was that I felt ashamed for being so focused on a trivial thing like that when women around the world were starving and watching their children starve. Are you kidding me? Just by chance, I stumbled on this video and have been binge watching all of your videos. I thought all wigs were like the ones my granny used to wear and never imagined how much they have changed. I can't believe how natural looking they are. I would like to thank you for your raw honesty about YOUR personal feelings about yourself. First let me tell you that you are beautiful, truly you are. However I can attest to what you’re frustration is with getting older. I have had a similar experience with my hair thinning considerably and literally changing from thick beautiful hair to thin receding and dull. Whenever I complain or feel depressed and try to explain what it is I’m going through, I find people are quick to judge me as being too vain. Some of us women really liked feeling pretty and our love for our “assets” gave us confidence and a sense of well-being. Being less than, and having options to supplement that loss is a godsend! I too have a husband I love to look good for. But I can tell you he’s put up with a lot of tears when I bought cheaper toppers and when they didn’t work out.. I wasn’t going anywhere! Lol. You expressed what I’ve tried to explain to others but somehow couldn’t get a sincere genuine response. I now after hearing your same struggle know I’m not the only one that feels lost without my “good hair” lol thank you and keep up your amazing journey and know that you have touched many others with your honesty!💕

Get one I am over 65 always had thin hair now worse after menopause. They hold great even on very thin hair. Dont pull or hurt. Takes 5 mins to put on and stays even in wind and rain storms. Easy to care for. I kept my long brown hair tinted natural color. Matches perfect. I chose real hair but both are great.

Looks great! I just went on your website and I did not notice any silver or grey colour pieces. I stopped colouring my hair...and I totally love the colour now but I have thin hair especially around my crown and just need something to cover that spot as I have grown my hair out shoulder length and I like to wear it up or put it in a small ponytail. My moms hair was thin, she started wearing wigs around 50, and by 70 she was bald. My hair is thin, and been dealing with it and happy I have a lot more hair then she did. This is the first time I’ve seen your videos. I’m so glad I stumbled onto it. I love the way your wigs look on you (you look great without them), but I like the way they look so real. I am a Stage IV colon cancer survivor & now have lupus and Hashimoto’s. I’m a hot mess !!! With all this, I have lost so much hair that my hairline now recedes about one-third back on the top and sides of my head. I literally have no hair at the sides by my ears so when I wear a “topper” hairpiece and want to pull my hair back, the bald shows by my ears. I love wearing a ponytail and wearing my hair up but can’t do it for this reason. I want to look at all your videos on YouTube and see if you have an example of someone wearing one of your wigs with the same issue I have. I have a lot of hair in the back ... the total baldness goes back to my crown with thin hair at the crown, then lots of hair in the back. Any suggestions? I would love to get away with a hairpiece instead of a full wig. Thank you !!!

I'd drop the idea for now of wearing any type of top piece since we don't want to burden your precious strands with unnecessary stress by clipping into it. Thousands of women are and have been in your position with losing hair in many different areas. Lets move you forward; find the courage and step into our wigs. They are light, about 2 oz, and have open wefts. This means that your scalp can breathe and this does NOT inhibit future hair growth. You have no idea how much this means to me! This was on my opening feed...I have been watching how the women of color put their wigs on, bout a wig, bought the glue, now have the wig(too much hair) no clips, and scared to death to try it, as I have little hair in the front to trust not ripping off, besides the fact it seems like such a process! Hi Rochelle, my only concern about the hair topper is my hairline at the very front is not straight across. Where there is a little in the middle at the very front ( I have a balding spot right there too) and then it's kind of like a "V" shape where the rest of it on each side recedes farther back from this middle point. So this kind of topper where the clips are would not work for me. Because I would have to snap then in farther than this middle point and then the hair is very sparse in this front mid point, so it would show my bald spot. Very upsetting for me. I can completely relate with the hat thing and I am so fed up with it. I am close to 54 years old and I am dealing with intense hot flashes and night sweats and this makes it all the more frustrating trying to wear hair toppers and wigs. Thanks for listening.

Hi NewLife, I understand. I just made a video (not out yet) with a woman such as yours with a widow's peak. Just clip the top piece to your hairline as it is on both sides. The bangs of the topper will cover your little longer hair ( will it?) - from my experience it will. If that hair isn't trimmed to a bang, consider doing that so that hair will work right in with the bang. And, also having a little bang across takes the attention from your hairline and turns attention towards your eyes with a little bang. Let me know... Ro

@GodivasSecretWigs Oh HI! Thanks for responding so quickly! Yes, I would be very interested to see your new video. So that's what it's called, it actually has a name. Yes, a very different type of hairline, that's for sure. Will try your suggestion. The only thing is, I don't have much if any bangs, I have hairloss in that very front middle section, the hairs that are there are tiny baby short hair that never grows(bald looking) and some longer scraggly pieces. I don't understand why I have this. I got this in my early 30's and am now 53. The thin bit of scraggly pieces grow but the baby tiny hairs stay the same and never grow. Don't know why. So, I am quite self-conscious of this baldness patch. There's not much to work with for a bang and being right in the front is quite distressing. So, I pull more hair from behind that farther point of the hairline forward. My hair is already fine, so ugh, it doesn't look that great. I just thought if I could do a hairtopper instead of a wig, it would be so much cooler with my crazy hot flashes. 🔥 ugh....

Hi Rochelle, I love your honesty! When you took the hat off, and let down your hair, I thought wow, you have gorgeous hair! Then you showed us where your hair is thinning. Getting older is a BIT****!! My hair is falling out every day, and I am mortified!! I must be honest that I am nervous about wearing a wig, especially one that has clips...EVERYTHING snags my fine and thinning hair. I just have to unconsciously run my hand through my hair, and I feel a "snap!" I almost have a panic attack!

@@GodivasSecretWigs Haha. That was a bad typo. Yes it takes years off your age. I had people who didn’t even recognise me. A hairdresser came up to me to ask what the heck I had done with my hair. He said it was fabulous. NOBODY thought it was a wig. Friends that would have definitely said something if they thought it was, said they had no idea when I told them. My best friend is watching all the vids to pick the one for her. One of my male neighbours drove past me while I was walking along the road screeched to a halt, leaned out the window to take a closer look. He said wow, love what you have done with your hair lol. So don’t be afraid girls. Believe me it will be worth every cent. If in doubt get Freedom in the colour you would choose at the hairdresser for a special occasion. That wig is amazing as well.

Oh my goodness. I could just cry. While i was waiting for my GSW orders I bought a famous name brand wig that had good reviews. It was horrible. I was so discouraged. 😱 If I hadn't found GSW it would have put me off trying again. Then my toppers arrived from GSW!!!!! This is where the crying comes in! Long wavy is absolutely exquisite. Perfect from the moment I set it on my head. I am so excited to know that I will have beautiful hair for a special event coming. I want more of these!! Alana topper is so perfect in color and style. I too have very thin hair. Just turned 64, and bought my 1st wig The Freedom in Auburn Sugar-R, I absolutely love it! I feel pretty again! Most women feel the same way, it's part of our "Femininity." I'm going for my second wig in May, SABRINA-hoping for the IRISH SPICE but, sold out at this time, hopefully will be back in stock by May. I love watching mother and daughter together. They are both...GORGEOUS! So very helpful. With my 1st wig I bought the brown average wig grip band (it works marvelously) also got both brushes, wire & purse (but my purse brush is missing "teeth") I intend to buy the shampoo/conditioner, their hair spray and the wig clip. I am so happy with this company! Give them a try, you won't regret.....

I have been teasing the top of my hair to give it height and fullness for decades but as I’ve gotten older (63 +) my hair is thinning and not holding the tease. Hi Roseanne, Rochelle here! You are a doll! Our Top Pieces are amazing and if you'd like additional height, then I would recommend the Medium Top (if your hair is above shoulder length or shorter) or the Long Top if your hair is shoulder length or longer. These Tops are machine teased at the root, so these love to be teased and the machine teasing on these do not wash out after washing and conditioning! A brand new Top Piece is silky soft when you receive it, so I'd suggest playing with a good teasing brush ( we sell them too) or commit a teasing brush of your own to use just on the synthetic and not your own hair. The hair fibers will stay cleaner longer. If you want height, you do not want a Monofilament Top Piece. These are flat at the top with a see-thru scalp. If you see height on any of our wigs, this is how they come and that means they are machine teased and you can tease to your hearts content! Hope this helps! I understand; and if your hairline has few hairs, know that our clips at the hairline are not at the temple - where we first lose more hair. They are a little higher up, and you can always move the clips by taking them off and re-sewing them.

I’ve been wearing Toppers and extensions for my hair loss for over 5 years, after weight loss surgery (and having PCOS) I would buy human hair and color them to my hair...but I missed having high lights..until Godiva’s Secret! Id love to try this because I'm losing hair and its frightening and frustrating trying to cover it up. I am a vocalist and I need to look my best and not worry about my hait thinning.
