Illusion
Pink/Scratch Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The son of hell the damned and cursed
At the age of five was left for dead
He was horrid and extremely thin
He limps everytime
For everyone is devil's son
He came from the darkest hole
When he plays he becomes a puppet
For it is truly a masterpiece
Wearing black as a death star
Scandalized all the false people
A blind man ask can anyone play
Nobody can sound like that
A demon genius pandering and drunk
He was a wonderful live performer a good man
A loving father damned by the devil
Master one more time
Teacher another one
Please one more time

No one illusion he is the devil

No one illusion he is the devil
No one illusion he is the devil

Overall Meaning

The song "Illusion" by Pink/Scratch is a poignant commentary on the human struggle with reality and the self-constructed illusions that we build in order to cope. The song’s theme encompasses the various ways people relive their past and perpetuate wrongdoings against themselves and others. The opening lines ask how many times can one understand and make amends - a reflection on how we often repeat the same mistakes, actions, and choices that led to our pain in the first place. The lyrics suggest the presence of a loaded gun aimed at the sun, signifying the burden of self-reflection and the pursuit of truth amidst an overwhelming symbolic storm.

The singer then goes on to discuss the various illusions people use to distract themselves from their reality, from playing the big shot in a blind man's eyes to spilling blood to mark the grounds one rules. The chorus repeats "lost in illusions" as a refrain, highlighting the sense of being lost in a world that is not one’s own, prompting the question "what do you want to be." The song ends on a powerful message about opening your eyes and taking control before the danger hiding in the guise of an illusion destroys you.

I knew where the "2 dots in a line" thing was going because I've seen it so many times before.
I was tricked by the purple-yellow square thing.
I found the "HIDE AND SEEK" message.
I could not solve the colorful circles thing.
I do not see the second image of Marilyn Monroe.
I was thinking of Broccoli.
I saw the speed change.
I heard the kid say "Don't Nap."
I saw the other man in the picture with the girl.
The rainbow Mario trick got me.
I guessed A). 6 for the book question.
AAH I WAS LEFT WITH 4 HOOOW
The difference between the two emojis is the line on the tounge is missing one the second picture.
I slightly hear a boom sound with the jump rope power lines.
I honestly thought there picture of the cake with a spice out of it looked like the parting of the Red Sea.
And finally, the trick where your name is actually guessed.
I just ended up with the numbers I started with, so this was completly useless. He didn't even say my name like the title says.
You wasted my time.

04:48 Actually, the answer could be either 4 or 5 pages, because we can't know if the book page started with page 1 on the right or left side. If we consider a page without its number assigned, then the answer will be always be 3. Because if a book 1st page on the right starts with 1, meaning 2 is on the opposite face of the same page, then each odd number will be always on the right and all even numbers will appear on the left. Viseversa if page 1 starts on the left, then 2 will be on the right, meaning 2 and 3 will be part of the same page and even numbers will all be on the right and odd numbers on the left.

Meaning 7-8 same page = 7 must be on the right and 8 on the left after turning that same page. 100 will be on the left, 101 on the right, 222 on the left, 223 on the right. Total of 5 pages.

While if 7 on the left page and 8 on the right page = then 100 will be in the right page, 101 in the left page on the same page after you turned it (meaning both count as 1 page), same thing for 222 being on the right and 223 on the left page on the same page again (count as 1 again). Total of 4 pages.

You can try it yourself by picking any 2 books, one with odd numbers on the left and the other with right numbers on the left. If you would tear those pages, you will see they will never be 3, unless somehow the book decided to put empty unnumbered pages in between or added special pages like 90.5" (what kind of crazy book would do it tho).

The answer 6 was a trick for people who thought it was needed to just count them (falling for it).
Answer 3 is for people who thought they discovered the trick (still fell for it, trick inside a trick: trick-ception).
Answer 7 is for people who either fast read "7 pages" and instantly thought it was the classic grammatical trick. There's no other logical reason someone would pick 7.
Answer 5 is for people who took a book to have by default page 1 on the right (so odd numbers has even numbers behind, 1 + 2 + 2)
Answer 4 is for people who realized it could also be applied the same reasoning of answer 5 if somehow the book had page 1 on the left (so odd numbers on the left, even numbers on the right, 2 + 1 + 1). If they did then they know answer can't be just 4 but either 4 and 5, or 5 in standard books.

@Dargonhuman

I caught the second You because it was capitalized in the middle of the sentence, which got my attention for being out of place.
Nehelegant, Nusent and Bogoverdra, Luulaz were the first four words. I think that means I read way too much sci-fi/fantasy novels because I'm pretty sure those are not real words.
The ball optical illusion only works on me when I move my eyes. If I stare directly at one point and keep my eyes still, it doesn't move at all. Interestingly, I see the ball rolling in the direction my eyes move - if they go up, the ball rolls up and the base slides down, if they go down to the left, then the ball rolls down-left and the base slides up-right. If I jiggle my eyes rapidly, it actually doesn't move at all until I stop, then the ball rolls slightly in the last direction my eyes were going and the base slides opposite. That's actually surprising...
The second optical illusion is similar to one that went around my high school back in the 90s. I don't know if it works for static images, but back then a very similar looking design was actually animated and the trick was to stare at the middle for about 30 seconds then quickly look at your hand or someone's face. The patterns will imprint onto your eyes for about a minute and you'll see a "ghost" of them distorting whatever you look at.
Hide and Seek. I didn't need to shake my head, either, my eyes are just really good at seeing subtle patterns like that.
Oh speaking of having good eyes AND 90s illusions, I learned an easy trick for those crazy Magic Eye illusions - cross your eyes until a repeated pattern meets and you'll see the hidden picture. You can use that technique on the circles - cross your eyes until a "third circle" appears and you'll see that neither circle changes at all. Interestingly, you can still see both circles appearing to change on either side of the third circle...
Oh that double portrait is weird - in the playback window I can only see Einstein, but in the preview box on the playback bar I see Marilyn Munroe...
Wait, what the... How?!
AHHHH!!! NOOOO!!!! I work in a hotel, and an endless backrooms style hotel hallway would be a nightmare, especially if I'm bringing towels to a guest halfway down the hall!!!
Dona? Donna? I didn't hear anything on the list...
Hahaha, he has the same hairstyle that his head makes her look like she has!
Wrong, it's 5 pages. The odd number is always on the front of the page with the even number being on the back, so 7 and 8 are opposite sides of the same page, while 99 is front to 100, 102 is back to 101, 221 is front to 222 and 224 is back to 223.
Oh that old trick... Pass.
Another "cross your eyes" trick - the easiest way to solve spot the difference pictures (even super easy ones like this) is to cross your eyes so both pictures are on top of each other, then look for any "ghostly" parts of the image - that's caused when one eye sees that part and the other doesn't because it doesn't exist on that side, hence a difference.
And now I'm bored. Onto something else.

@shivahareshsuraj8710

For the number 4 trick, the problem does steps and then does it in reverse. It always will be four if you think of an integer.

The 3 words I saw was naive, talented and sweet
Then I went back and saw charismatic, impatient, happy, peaceful, lazy, lovely, witty, dramatic, loyal, thoughtful and many more
