Stupid Girls
Pink Lyrics

(Uh-huh, uh-huh)
Stupid girl
(Woo)
Stupid girls
Stupid girls

[Chorus]
Maybe if I act like that
That guy will call me back
Porno paparazzi girls (yeah)
I don't wanna be a stupid girl (uh-huh)

Go to Fred Segal, you'll find them there
Laughing loud so all the little people stare
Looking for a daddy to pay for the champagne
(Droppin' names)

What happened to the dream of a girl president?
She's dancing in the video next to 50 Cent
They travel in packs of two or three
With their itsy-bitsy doggies and their teeny-weeny tees

Where, oh where, have the smart people gone?
Oh where, oh where could they be?
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)

[Chorus]

Maybe if I act like that
Flippin' my blond hair back (yeah)
Push up my bra like that
I don't wanna be a stupid girl

(Break it down now)

The disease is growing; it's epidemic
I'm scared that there ain't a cure
The world believes it, and I'm going crazy
I cannot take any more

I'm so glad that I'll never fit in
That will never be me
Outcasts and girls with ambition
That's what I wanna see (c'mon)

Disasters all around
(Disasters all around)
A world of despair
(A world of despair)
Your only concern
'Will it fuck up my hair?'

[Chorus]

Maybe if I act like that (uh-huh, uh-huh, do ya thing)
Flippin' my blond hair back (do ya thing)
Push up my bra like that
I don't wanna be a stupid girl (yeah, yeah, uh)

(Do ya thing, do ya thing, do ya thing, do ya thing, do ya, huh)
(I like this, like this, like this)

Pretty 'will-you-fuck-me' girl
Silly 'I'm-so-lucky' girl
Pull-my-hair-I'll-suck-it girl
Stupid girl!

Pretty 'will-you-fuck-me' girl
Silly 'I'm-so-lucky' girl
Pull-my-hair-I'll-suck-it girl
Stupid girl!

(Maybe if I act)
Maybe if I act like that
Flipping my blond hair back
(Maybe if I act)
Push up my bra like that
Stupid girl!
(Girl, girl, girl)

[Chorus]

(Stupid girl)

Maybe if I act like that
(Maybe if I act like that)
Flippin' my blond hair back
(Flipping my blond hair back)
Push up my bra like that
(Push up my bra like that)
I don't wanna be a stupid girl
(Stupid girl)

Maybe if I act like that
(Stupid girl)
Flipping my blond hair back
(Stupid girl)
Push up my bra like that
(Stupid girl)
Stupid girl

Stupid girl
(Stupid girl)

Stupid girl
(Stupid girl)

Stupid girl
(Stupid girl)

To the people bashing the video:

This song is a product of its time, when the ONLY narrative of being ‘perfect’ was being white, blonde, tall, thin and popular and it was everywhere, inescapable, and girls who didn’t meet the requirements, were bashed and treated like shit and that was fucked.

Many of the girls in that generation were thankful to have someone like Pink to point that out.
It helped them survive teenage years without feeling completely alienated among the Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie media frenzy, Britney Spears at her peak and her lookalikes, etc..

But then again, of course this video looks somehow problematic these days with the notion of sorority between women not trying to compete with each other (I still see hegemonic beauty everywhere, but I guess all changes take their time and people resist them..), but that was certainly NOT the case back then.
People were just shittier. There was no concept of body positivity. You would be bullied or laughed at.
People easily forget how shitty were things before.

This song isn’t insulting girls just because they change themselves, it’s insulting girls who change themselves just to get attention from men. It’s encouraging girls being true to themselves and what they really want.

Attack the patriarchy not the women who are victim of it. Pink spent years being racist, ignorant and appropriating black culture. She’s just as much a victim of the patriarchy and as a woman who decided to sell her body (mainstream pop stars all all objects, no one forced her to sign to a major label) she’s the same as all these women, she also pimps out her daughter on social media while attacking other people for putting their kids on social meida

Not, it definitely is. It plays on the traditionally feminine girl = dumb stereotype. Also the eating disorder thing...

La Morra

No not even men just judgemental people that they wanna fit in with...m

To understand the message of this song you need to know about what was happening at that moment, beauty was about being extremely skinny, eating disorders were just a way "to lose weight", etc., this song was so powerful back then because girls used to think they weren't beautiful if they weren't extremely skinny, so they would just do things to get famous, it didn't matter if they needed to have eating disorders or to do "stupid things" just to be famous. That's what the song is about, so please stop saying this song is judging women because it's not.

They definitely didn't grow up in the 2000s. The girlboss blonde they all hype was the biggest bully in schools a "pick me" at the boys

@You is a star no one is doing that.

the song was about vapid ho's and their tiny toy dogs and all the stupid girls that wanted to immitate them. There was a certain hotel trust fund girl that got too much attention for no reason around this time too that fueled the fire.
