@@iamupinacloud2830 Wow, that was over 2 years I posted that. Thanks for your post. I totally agree with you. Syd was a genuine star. Like you said he was charamistic and had that aura about him. He was a good guitarist, a frontman which you have to have something if you're the lead singer, guitarist. He was the main songwriter and made Piper with Floyd which is a classic album. See Emily Play is a great track. I like some of his albums Madcap Laughs and Barrett. You can hear there's something great still in there, but his head just wasn't like it was making Piper. If only he had of stayed like he was when he first broke onto the scene I believe he would of made more great music. If only. I'm just grateful for the music he left us. 🎸🎶🚲🐀🍊🍎😺✌️

@KEZ RK MAYALL I couldn't agree more.. Who knows what else he may have had created.. if only. Madcap Laughs and Barrett both had brilliant songs for sure! It must have been tough on the poor guy while creating his solo stuff as he had different members help him out at various times.. I can only imagine how difficult it would have been watching his dearest friends leaving the studio once they'd done their part. Cause the band was on the rise and were insanely busy. I too am grateful for what he left for the world to listen to. He definitely made his mark. Unique and unlike anyone else's, before or since.

He's still mentioned by other artists and fans how he was so unique and he brought something new to the music scene. I know he didn't make much music compared to other artists, but what he did leave has inspired others. He is a legend in my opinion. I love listening to his music even after all these years. 👍

It was filmed in Heysel park (50.53.36 N and 4.20.55 E). The giant concrete structure on the back doesn't exist anymore. It wasn't an highway bridge but a giant overpass for the 1958 Brussel world fair. There is another video (paintbox) where you can see them playing on the overpass.

This song was written and sung by Syd Barratt but he isn't even in the video. It is my guess that they felt very guilty over the years abandoning Syd to his own psychosis but never forgot he was there with them at the beginning and inspired them throughout the journey.

I think mental illness it's a personal state and nobody can help you unless you wanna help. And eventually he didn't want to see them anymore.
Why? Because it's like that when u got some trauma or stuff like that u can affront it, cause triggers you.

I remember this album when it was first released the cover of Relics . My older brother and his friends were smoking pot and I watch them thru the loovers from inside the closet. I was stuck in there from being in my brothers room when I was not supposed to and had no chance of getting out in time . I had to stay in there for a long time . I learn about another side of my brother that day. I loved the sixty's it was a nice time to be alive . 😊 gb* ~ hard life (MULDEW)

Notice the two people standing near the bridge support. I wonder if they knew, they were witnessing history in the making. Sad that Piper At The Gates Of Dawn was Syd's only studio album. He had so much potential. He was the inspiration behind so much of Pink Floyd.
