Bleeding Hearts
Pitty Sing Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

And throw into the snow
And you blow him for freedom from fame
One starlit day in the snow
Found your freedom
And oh I haven't paid, but I can stay here forever
Under the bed, until you see
Please don't let them out tonight
Your bleeding hearts
Your bleeding hearts
You can't make my evil right
Your bleeding hearts
Your bleeding hearts

And oh you cast your game
But I can stay here forever
Make myself small until you see
And oh she don't know
She won't leave, she won't go
And smash all of the phones in your head
You can't stop ringing my heart
Dead on the ground by tire tracks
Can't stop beating
And oh I haven't paid, but I can stay here forever
Under the bed, until you see
Please don't let them out tonight
Your bleeding hearts
Your bleeding hearts
You can't make my evil right
Your bleeding hearts
Your bleeding hearts

And oh you cast your game
But I can stay here forever
Make myself small until you see
And oh she don't know
She won't leave, she won't go

Please don't let them out tonight
Your bleeding hearts
Your bleeding hearts
Monday, Wednesday, Friday night

Overall Meaning

The song "Bleeding Hearts" by Pitty Sing is a complex and poetic composition exploring themes of fame, freedom, and the dark side of love. The lyrics seem to describe a toxic relationship based on power struggles and emotional manipulation. The singer plays a game of cat and mouse with their partner, pretending to be small and insignificant but secretly reveling in their control. Their partner is portrayed as being naive and trapped, unable to leave the situation but also unable to see the truth of what's happening. The chorus repeats the phrase "Your bleeding hearts" multiple times, seemingly a reference to the pain and suffering caused by this unhealthy dynamic.

The imagery in the song is rich and evocative, creating a sense of mystery and tension. The lines "And smash all of the phones in your head/You can't stop ringing my heart" are particularly striking, suggesting a kind of psychological violence. The final lines of the song, "Please don't let them out tonight/Monday, Wednesday, Friday night/Your bleeding hearts/Your bleeding hearts," are cryptic but haunting, hinting at a cycle of abuse that will continue even after the song ends.

This is one of the best songs I've heard. I love Pitty Sing

Jahanzeb Khan

This band pretty much started the retro mania that has taken over the land.

Interestingly enough they were actually not a retro style band. Their music was very original but it had influences of really great compositions and styles from the past without a single band or artist being implacable. This is why when reviewed, people would compare them to a host of 80s acts. Because they reminded them of what the liatener was familiar with.

This was the 1st song of theirs I heard in a short online maxim swimsuit montage. It was such an amazing song. I still remember where I discovered them - in my uncle's home I was visiting then. The year was 2005 and it was August I think.

I got their CD as soon as I could and was blown away. I don't know what happened to these guys. I e searched far and wide for any news but found nothing.

Another great band that disappeared were Dishwalla. Their singer like this singer, had a beautiful voice. They recently reformed with a different singer but it's not the same.
