1) Planet … Read Full Bio ↴There are at least two artists that use the name PLANET.
1) Planet are an Australian Indie rock band. Their debut album Information Overload was released in 2022.
2) PLVNET is the new embodiment of the "universal song". It has been heard in many forms, with many names. It has always been and will be. It only comes at times when humanity is in great need and often pioneers the great shifts in the music paradigm. Friends, that time is once again upon us. This most recent incarnation of the universal song has chosen Curtis Anthony (Low Frequency), Wes Hartman (Chant/Voice), Red Souther (Pulse), Nathanimal Luttrell (Mid and High Frequencies) who was voted as Chattanooga's Best Guitarist 2009 at the FYI music awards. and James "DJ Kid Saturn" Wood (Sonic Ear Candy) to usher in the sounds of the new world. PLVNET's prolific, in your face brand of electronic/organic rock is loaded with the message that sometimes you have to burn everything to the ground in order to start anew and it's followers are those people that have matches and a mind to use them. Planet draws it's influences from these previous couriers of the song: Radiohead, Deftones, David Bowie, Beethoven, Pink Floyd, Silverchair, Led Zeppelin, Incubus, Muse, Weezer, Roy Orbison and many others.
Maybe Someday

Although I know it all too well
I don't wanna say it
Never done it by myself
I've been kicking
You've been innocent
You won't see
I feel made up
I don't need to see
It's been nothing
But I wanna be
I've been running for hours
Tryna keep my head on straight
Fear it always seeps in
Washing all the good away
I've been kicking
You've been innocent
You won't see
My head is in a debt
I feel made up
I don't need to see
It's been nothing
But I wanna be
I've been kicking
You've been innocent
You won't see
My head is in a debt
I feel made up
I don't need to see
It's been nothing
I'm giving it up maybe someday
I'm giving it up maybe someday
In the song "Maybe Someday" by Planet, the lyrics express a sense of longing and vulnerability. The singer is torn between wanting someone to leave and not wanting to say it out loud because they have never been able to handle things on their own. The line "Tell me you won't be here, although I know it all too well" indicates that the singer is aware of the impending departure but finds it difficult to articulate their feelings. The phrase "Never done it by myself" suggests a dependence on others and a fear of being alone.
The repetition of the lines "I've been kicking, you've been innocent" emphasizes a sense of guilt or inner conflict within the singer. It implies that the singer may have caused harm or hurt to the person they are addressing, while the other person remains innocent. The line "My head is in debt" further emphasizes the burden the singer feels, possibly indicating emotional turmoil or a sense of indebtedness to the person they are speaking to.
The chorus, "I'm giving it up maybe someday," reflects a sense of resignation or acceptance. The singer acknowledges that they may have to let go or give up on something, but the word "someday" suggests a lingering hope or possibility.
Overall, the lyrics of "Maybe Someday" convey a complex mix of emotions including longing, guilt, vulnerability, and a struggle for independence.
