1) Planet … Read Full Bio ↴There are at least two artists that use the name PLANET.
1) Planet are an Australian Indie rock band. Their debut album Information Overload was released in 2022.
2) PLVNET is the new embodiment of the "universal song". It has been heard in many forms, with many names. It has always been and will be. It only comes at times when humanity is in great need and often pioneers the great shifts in the music paradigm. Friends, that time is once again upon us. This most recent incarnation of the universal song has chosen Curtis Anthony (Low Frequency), Wes Hartman (Chant/Voice), Red Souther (Pulse), Nathanimal Luttrell (Mid and High Frequencies) who was voted as Chattanooga's Best Guitarist 2009 at the FYI music awards. and James "DJ Kid Saturn" Wood (Sonic Ear Candy) to usher in the sounds of the new world. PLVNET's prolific, in your face brand of electronic/organic rock is loaded with the message that sometimes you have to burn everything to the ground in order to start anew and it's followers are those people that have matches and a mind to use them. Planet draws it's influences from these previous couriers of the song: Radiohead, Deftones, David Bowie, Beethoven, Pink Floyd, Silverchair, Led Zeppelin, Incubus, Muse, Weezer, Roy Orbison and many others.

You need more than every fish in the sea
Calling out for a lost cause
More than you could've asked for
For now, I've been remittent
Cold swings wake me in and out of sleep
Wear me down like an old coat
Keep you warm 'til the rain goes
You tell me you've been saved
You tell me you've been sold
You tell me you've been saved
You tell me you've been sold
I know I know I know
Show me how it all led to
Throw me out I've been one to erase
Blown out smoke from the circuit
Your one spark flies off and you feel weak
Shocks appear from the old heart
It breaks you down with a jump start
I need more than a moment
You feel I've fallen way too deep
Sunken eyes with a new scope
To find the time for tomorrow
You tell me you've been saved
You tell me you've been sold
You tell me you've been saved
You tell me you've been sold
I know I know
You tell me you've been saved
You tell me you've been sold
You tell me you've been saved
You tell me you've been sold
I know I know I know
You're not alone
You're not alone
You tell me you've been saved
You tell me you've been sold
You tell me you've been saved
You tell me you've been sold
I know I know
You tell me you've been saved
You tell me you've been sold
You tell me you've been saved
You tell me you've been sold
I know I know I know
The lyrics of "Save" by Planet tell a story of someone who is searching for purpose and meaning in a fallen city. The city is described as being in a state of despair and decay, with the singer feeling worn down like an old coat. They are longing for something more, something that goes beyond the superficial. The phrase "calling out for a lost cause" suggests that they are seeking a sense of salvation or redemption, but it feels out of reach.
The chorus of the song repeatedly mentions being "saved" and being "sold." This can be interpreted in a few ways. It could refer to the idea of finding salvation or being saved from the hardships and struggles of life. The mention of being "sold" could represent feeling like a commodity, like something that has been bought and sold, devoid of agency or freedom. It could also suggest that the singer feels manipulated or taken advantage of in some way.
The second verse brings in themes of fragility and vulnerability. The imagery of "blown out smoke from the circuit" and a "jump start" suggests that the singer's emotions and heart have been pushed to their limits. They feel like they're falling too deep and are searching for a way to navigate through their own darkness.
Overall, the lyrics of "Save" convey a sense of disillusionment, longing, and a search for something more meaningful and authentic in a troubled world.
