Rain
Polaris At Noon Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Rain drops are falling down
Flooding lakes,
I sound for the wind to call
You can't hear me now
The silence tears me down
Brave the storm to come

Reasons are out the door
I play it back more and more
Still can't see the sun

The morning never feels like home,
'Cause I wake up and I'm all alone
The water at my feet
Is black so I can't see
My path or where I'm gonna go

But every time I feel alright,
You seem to come around
And I lose my mind
I rose to fight,
I rose to fight the day
But you disappeared into the night
I never had a chance just to say goodbye
I rose to fight,
I rose to fight the day

Rain drops are falling down
Forging shapes and sounds
Wondering where you've been
The thunder cracks the whip
My patience is wearing thin
How can I move on?

The morning never feels like home,
'Cause I wake up and I'm all alone
The water at my feet
Is black so I can't see
My path or where I'm gonna go

But every time I feel alright,
You seem to come around
And I lose my mind
I rose to fight
I rose to fight the day
But you disappeared into the night
I never had a chance just to say goodbye
I rose to fight,
I rose to fight the day

Rain drops are falling down
Flooding lakes,
I sound for the wind to call

Every time I feel alright,
You seem to come around
And I lose my mind
I rose to fight,
I rose to fight the day
But you disappeared into the night
I never had a chance just to say goodbye

I rose to fight,
I rose to fight the day

Overall Meaning

The song "Rain" by Polaris At Noon is a heart-wrenching ballad that captures the anguish and pain of a lover who is struggling to come to terms with the end of a relationship. The lyrics speak of the heavy rain that has flooded everything, but the silence that surrounds him tears him down. The singer is fighting to brave the storm, but with every attempt, the reasons for trying seem to be slipping away. He is left in a sea of black water that doesn't allow him to see his path or where he is going.

The singer feels lost and alone, and despite his best intentions, he cannot help but lose his mind every time he thinks of his ex-lover. The morning never feels like home to him since he wakes up all alone. He wonders what happened and where she went. The storm's thunder keeps him going, and he tries to move on despite feeling like he is stuck. He rose to fight the day but was ultimately unable to keep her from disappearing into the night without a chance to say goodbye.

Overall, the song portrays a story of heartbreak, persistence, and the desperate inability to move on despite the circumstances. The beautiful interplay of guitar and drums adds to the intense emotions of the lyrics and highlights the singer's soulful voice.

Interesting sort of music what made you pick it to upload

@winterhartarts

Iโ€™m so so so incredibly happy to have found this uploaded in full here because I have LOVED this band and this EP for YEARS and it feels like theyโ€™ve just disappeared off the face of the internet except in obscure places??? SO grateful for your sharing this, Iโ€™m so happy to listen to them again ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ’–

The tracklisting is wrong. Time was not considered for En Pointe, it was supposed to be the lead single of Season Two, which got cancelled.

En Pointe is the result of an extensive tour that Jason did experimenting with new sounds. He disbanded PAN after the Prey & Predator EP which had a very limited release, and formed Sir Sly which has met high praise in the industry.

Thanks for the clarification. My only knowledge of this band is from my own personal experience from 2011 and then they just vanished from the world without any trace. I tried google searching this band for years and nothing comes up.

But Ill check out Sir Sly. Its great to know that Jason has been actively making music since.

@707room

Jason most likely removed everything about PAN back in 2015 when he relaunched Noise Coalition. I've been trying to archive everything but I'm still missing stuff. Videos are all gone, but audio there's only a few things missing.

@Rych3rInLyf3

@@707room Interesting. Im glad after all these years I finally got my answer. Thats a shame too cause Polaris at Noon couldve been a huge breakout band of the 2010s.
