PMP prides themselves on being a small town, independent band. In every aspect of their music including song writing, recording, mixing, and producing, from end to end, in-house. Some of PMP’s accomplishments include playing for their American troops stationed in Guantanamo Bay (GTMO). Then winning the title, “Best New Act In Country Music” on the nationally broadcasted show, “Texaco Country Showdown” in early 2013 at the famous Ryman Auditorium and home of the “Grand Ole Opry" in Nashville.
After a long hiatus from 2014-2019 PMP began releasing new music with the song “Hell’s Comin’ With Me”. In 2022, “Hell’s Comin’ With Me” made its way onto many streaming charts including getting as high as #2 on the global viral charts, just under Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill”.
Every Day Is Exactly the Same
Poor Mans Poison Lyrics

Coz I repeat the same routine
I think I used to have a purpose
Then again, it might′ve been a dream
I think I used to have a voice
Although I'd never make a sound
I just do what I′ve been told
I really don't want them to come around again
Every day is exactly the same
Every day is exactly the same
There is no love here
And there is no pain
Every day is exactly the same
I can feel their eyes are watching
In case I lose myself again
Sometimes I think I'm happy here
Sometimes yeah I still pretend
I can′t remember how this got started
But I can tell you exactly how it will end
Every day is exactly the same
Every day is exactly the same
There is no love here
And there is no pain
(Every day)
Every day is exactly the same
I′m writing on a little piece of paper
I'm hoping someday you might find
I′m hiding behind something
They won't look behind
I′m still inside
A little bit comes bleeding through
I wish this could have been any other way
But I just don't know, don′t know
What else I can do
Every day is exactly the same
Every day is exactly the same
There is no love here
And there is no pain
(Every day)
Every day is exactly the same
(Exactly the same)
(Every day)
Every day is exactly the same
(Every day)
Every day is exactly the same
(There is no pain)
There is no love here
And there is no pain
(Every day)
Every day is exactly the same
(Every day is the same)
(Every day)
Every day is exactly the same
(Every day)
Every day is exactly the same
(There is no pain)
There is no love here
And there is no pain
(Every day)
Every day is exactly the same
(Every day is exactly the same)
The lyrics of Poor Mans Poison's song "Every Day Is Exactly the Same," depict a sense of monotony and hopelessness in life. The singer seems to have lost direction and feels trapped in a never-ending routine. The repetition of the phrase "Every day is exactly the same" highlights the feeling of emptiness and the futility of his existence. The singer also reflects on how he used to have a purpose, but now he's lost his voice and does what he's told. He seems to have given up on trying to change things.
The song also depicts the constant surveillance and control that the singer is under. He feels as though he's being watched, and he's afraid of losing himself again. He portrays how, sometimes, he finds solace in pretending to be happy, but in reality, he's not. He can't recall how he got to where he is, but he knows how it will end. The line, "I'm writing on a little piece of paper, I'm hoping someday you might find" depicts a sense of desperation and longing for someone to understand him, even if he can't express himself fully.
Overall, "Every Day Is Exactly the Same" by Poor Mans Poison is a song about the struggles of life, the sense of hopelessness, and the monotony that overwhelms us at times. It portrays how we can be trapped in our routines and lose our purpose, dreams, and desires. It is a reminder to break free from our habits, make changes, and pursue our passions.

@CRDubU
PMP's version of this song has nearly been wiped out by UMG's corporate takedowns. Happy that I can still listen to it somewhere.
@DrMedicTM
If you find out where, please let me know. I like their cover better than the original.
@CRDubU
@@DrMedicTM Where what? Where you can find Poor Man’s Poison’s version of the song? Because… that’s this video. This is the PMP version.
@DrMedicTM
@@CRDubU I know that it's the PMP version. I guess I can't expect them to have it somewhere else if it was already taken down.
Wanted to add it to my Spotify playlist but it's not listed there anymore. I guess just saving this and revisiting every now and then will do.
