Bendito rap querido, rima querida
Querido rap, bendita rima querida
The song "Desde" by Portavoz is a powerful rap that talks about the struggles of growing up in a poor neighborhood and how music, particularly rap, helped the artist cope with his difficult circumstances. The lyrics start by introducing the artist as "Negro Andy" from Conchalí, which is a poor neighborhood in Santiago, Chile. The artist reminisces about his childhood, where he learned to keep his feelings to himself and never share his emotions with anyone. He also talks about how he was different from the typical guys from his neighborhood and how rap helped him become more confident and outgoing.
As the song continues, the artist talks about his experiences of growing up in a neighborhood where there is constant tension, and people are always fighting for what is theirs. He emphasizes that being poor does not mean being ignorant, and he learned this after seeing his neighbors and family members fight for their rights. He also talks about the true meaning of being a gangster, which is fighting for big ideas and being responsible like a father. He then talks about his love for rap and how it has been his passion since he was a child.
Furthermore, the artist emphasizes that rap is not just music; it's a way of life that has helped him find his identity and cope with the struggles of the hard life he faced. He expresses his gratitude towards rap and how it has given him the confidence to be himself and speak his mind. He concludes the song by stating that rap has left a mark on him and that it will always be a part of who he is.
Overall, "Desde" is a powerful and honest song from Portavoz that reflects on the struggles and challenges faced by people growing up in poor neighborhoods. The song highlights how music, particularly rap, can help people find their identity, voice their opinions, and cope with the challenges of life.
