In a moment of misplaced trust, I fell into a trap set by someone who had once been my comrade, which led to my death.

Free at last, I'm homeless though I finally live in peace
While I finally got the peace I longed for, I lost my home and ended up without a place to stay.

A nation was born inside the walls I always see
From the ruins of our fight, a nation was ultimately established within the boundaries that I had always been familiar with.

My friends have skirmishes but I'm just living life much quieter
While my friends continue to argue among themselves, I try to live a peaceful life.

I've been called a fool so much for being the humbler one
Because I chose to be humble, many thought I was a fool or weakling.

When my friends this time fought for power
When my friends had a power struggle among themselves.

Two of them were thrown away from this land, oh

Eyes for enemy sides, thought I was far from my demise

I had been betrayed twice, which ultimately led me to my death.

False assurance of safety, can't trust anybody
I had been falsely promised safety, which made me realize that I couldn't trust anyone.

I don't want to fall in this death hole
I desperately do not want to make the same mistake again and fall into the same trap that ended my life.
