Early life
Pritam was born in Kolkata into a Bengali family. Pritam is the son of Prabodh Chakraborty, who runs a music school for children. Pritam gained his early training in music from his father and learned to play the guitar while still in school.
After completing his schooling at St. James' School and college education at Presidency College, he went to a music school. At Presidency he was the Social Services Secretary of the Students Union run by the Independents' Consolidation (IC). Pritam joined a Bangla band, Chandrabindoo. Before that he formed another band with his Presidency batchmates, called "Jotugriher Pakhi". They even have a cassette released to their credit at that time. In January 1993, Pritam joined the Film and Television Institute in Pune to undertake a course in sound recording and sound engineering. During this time, he was offered a chance to compose background music for a film by Hungarian filmmaker Istvan Gaal. He also learned African music from musicologist Kedar Avati.
Career
Having completed his education, Pritam Chakraborty moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in Bollywood. During his stay in Mumbai, he began composing ad jingles, and became friendly with a number of other young men struggling to make it big, like Shantanu Moitra, Rajkumar Hirani, Sanjay Gadhvi and Chandrajeet Ganguly, also known as Jeet, who played the guitar with Anup Jalota.
Pritam got his first break when Gadhvi was signed on to direct Tere Liye and he, in turn, signed on his friends Jeet and Pritam as music composers. Though the music was well received, the film sank at the box office. However, in 2002 Yashraj Films signed Gadhvi up to direct Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, for which the Jeet-Pritam duo once again composed the music. All the songs from that movie were chartbusters, and the duo had hit the big time. His music comprises various kinds including Indian classical music and western influences. Pritam was then actively involved in mentoring and judging new talent on Zee TV's singing competition show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009.
[edit] Solo career
Jeet and Pritam worked together for only one more film which was Mudda-The Issue, before amicably parting. After the separation, Pritam's career as a solo musician stalled as he signed a series of flops like Fun2shh - Dudes In The 10th Century and Agnipankh. The films sank at the box office and with them, Pritam’s music too. However, in 2004, Pritam composed the music for Sanjay Gadhvi's second film, Dhoom, which was a runaway success. The film did well and the music topped the charts.
Pritam followed up the success of Dhoom with a string of chartbusting numbers after a year for Chocolate, Garam Masala and Gangster. Also he composed the music for Dhoom 2, the sequel to [Dhoom] & Life in a Metro. Most recently he composed the music for Singh Is Kinng, Kismat Konnection and formed a Band named Metro. His most top rated musics are from the movies Dhoom, Dhoom2, Gangster, Life in a metro, Jab we met, Race, Billu, Love Aaj Kal, Golmaal Returns, Tum Mile, Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani, De Dana Dan, Toh Baat Pakki, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?, Badmaash Company and more.

Bas khayal hai ab tera
Kaise katenge din tere bin
Yahi bas sawaal hai ab mera
We coming back to the race
Yeah i am coming back to the race
Tell me if you ready
This time wanna make you see
Ain't nobody gonna play game like me
Undercover call i eyes
Yeah. you know, you know
You loose when you call the die
Just gonna turn and make you see
Make you see, make you see
Ain't nobody gonna run a race like me
Ik baar nahi ye dil sau baar hai toota
Par saukh mohabbat ka abtak na chhoota
Ik baar nahi ye dil sau baar hai toota
Par saukh mohabbat ka abtak na chhoota
Muskurate huye chehre
Chhupaye hain raaz gehre
Yahaan toh har chehra hai jhootha
Allah duhai hai.
Allah duhai hai phir bewafaayi hai
Mushkil rihaai hai, haan tere pyaar mein
Allah duhai hai phir bewafaayi hai
Mushkil rihaai hai, haan tere pyaar mein
Haan tere pyaar mein.
You can't escape my love.
You can't escape my love.
Haan hai khata meri
Mila jo bhi yehi puchhe
Wafa kyun ki, wafa kyun ki
Wafa to hoti kaha aajkal hai kahi pal bhi
Ishq me jo agar pal do gujar jaaye
To phir saari umar kya hai
Maane na maane koi baat
Maano ke jeene ka yeh matlab hai
Ishq hi ek majhab hai
Ishq naa ho to rab hai rutha
Allah duhai hai.
Allah duhai hai phir bewafaayi hai
Mushkil rihaai hai, haan tere pyaar mein
Allah duhai hai phir bewafaayi hai
Mushkil rihaai hai, haan tere pyaar mein
Al. Al du. Duhai hai.
Haan hai zamaane se tu beparwah
Me beparwah to phir kaisa koi parda
Haan koi parda jo hota to
Dil kya fida hota
Ishq na ho duaaye ki
Ishq ho to duaaye ki Sach shayari
Maane na tauba hai kaisi balaa hai
Ki iss dil ko bada roka
Chala khane hai phir dhokha
Yeh dil apni fitrat se toota
Allah duhai hai.
Allah duhai hai phir bewafaayi hai
Mushkil rihaai hai, haan tere pyaar mein
Allah duhai hai phir bewafaayi hai
Mushkil rihaai hai, haan tere pyaar mein
Yeah i am coming back to the race
Tell me if you ready!
Can you take the pace?
This time wanna make you see
Ain't nobody gonna play game like me
Undercover call i eyes
Yeah. you know, you know
You loose when you call the die
Just gonna turn and make you see
Make you see, make you see
Ain't nobody gonna run a race like me...
The song Allah Duhai from the Bollywood movie Race 3 is a reflective and powerful song that talks about the struggle of love, betrayal, and heartbreak. The song starts with the singer longing for the object of their affection, saying that their thoughts are consumed by that person. They wonder how they will survive without them and question whether anyone can run a race better than them. The chorus, "Allah duhai hai" is repeated several times throughout the song and expresses the singer's despair and pain at being betrayed in love. The lyrics hint that the person who betrayed them might be returning to their lives, in spite of their betrayal.
The second verse continues the theme of heartbreak and betrayal, with the singer acknowledging that their heart has been broken a hundred times by love but remains unable to disengage from it. The singer highlights the pain of seeing people with fake smiles and empty promises, hinting that they have been hurt in the past. The bridge brings the song back to its central theme, repeating the phrase "Allah duhai hai" while laying bare the reality of the difficulty in finding freedom after a break-up. The song closes with the same message - a call to the person who betrayed them, saying they're coming back stronger than before and asking if the betrayer can keep up.

I am calling upon Allah for help, as I face the difficulties of being in love with someone who is unfaithful. It is hard to be free from the pain of your love. Yes, it's your love that's causing all these problems.
Haan hai khata meri
Mila jo bhi yehi puchhe
Wafa kyun ki, wafa kyun ki
Wafa to hoti kaha aajkal hai kahi pal bhi
Yes, I am the one who's to blame. But anyone who asks me why I am faithful will hear that nowadays, faithfulness is hard to find.
Ishq me jo agar pal do gujar jaaye
To phir saari umar kya hai
Maane na maane koi baat
Maano ke jeene ka yeh matlab hai
Ishq hi ek majhab hai
Ishq naa ho to rab hai rutha
If just a moment of love can make life worth living, then what is the value of an entire lifetime? Whether or not one accepts it, the meaning of life is to love. Love is a religion in itself, and if there is no love, then God is unhappy.
Haan hai zamaane se tu beparwah
Me beparwah to phir kaisa koi parda
Haan koi parda jo hota to
Dil kya fida hota
Ishq na ho duaaye ki
Ishq ho to duaaye ki Sach shayari
Maane na tauba hai kaisi balaa hai

Chala khane hai phir dhokha
Yeh dil apni fitrat se toota
Yes, you are indifferent to what others say. But why build any barriers when my heart is already uncomplicated? If a barrier existed, what would be the point of living with such a heart? If it's not love that brings blessings, then what is it? This is true poetry. He doesn't repent over his crime or curse his fate, but it's a terrible punishment that his heart is shattered by its own nature.

I am coming back to the competition, and I want to know if you're ready to keep up. This time, I want to show you that nobody can compete with me. I hide my true intentions, and you know it. If you take a risk, you will end up losing, but I will show you the way. I will make you see that nobody can run a race like me.
