The lyrics to the song Hawayein by Pritam and Arijit Singh describe the feelings of a lovestruck individual who is willing to go anywhere and do anything to be with their beloved. The lyrics begin with the person expressing their desire to place their beloved in a place where their faith lies. They further state that they belong only to the one they love, and the person they love should not go anywhere else. The chorus of the song speaks about the winds that carry away everything and asks where they would lead this person and their beloved. The verse continues with the idea of the memories that this person's beloved creates and how they all revolve around their presence, day and night.
The song continues to speak of the unspoken feelings between the singer and their beloved, where the singer is unable to decipher the expressions on their beloved's face. However, they reveal that they have prayed that all of their beloved's dreams come true, which is why they are now able to share this space with their loved one. The lyrics then move on to the chorus again, describing how the winds can carry the beloved to anywhere, and no one knows where they might end up.
Overall, the lyrics to the song Hawayein speak of love and devotion. They describe how someone is willing to do anything to be with the person they love, and how their love can overcome any obstacle. The song's melody works perfectly with the lyrics, highlighting the emotions and passion of the singer.
