I'm leaving on the night train
I'm departing on the train that runs overnight

Only wet rain is visible

The lightning only becomes visible after it strikes

I embark on the train destined to travel through the night

I was a stock market king and I drove a big Cadillac
I previously held great success in the stock market and drove a large Cadillac vehicle

Now, I've got my life tied
My current existence is not as luxurious

To a broom-handle stick and a bag
I rely on a broomstick and a bag as my possessions

A mirror reflection on the broken glass
I see myself in a reflection through shattered glass

Only tears streaming down my face are visible
