Exodus
Project R.I.P Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Paved with good intentions
Mouthful of inquisition
Longing for intermission
I feel like dying mostly from crying out
For some kind of retribution
Fail to see the grand illusion
Cool down all of the contusions
Left from treading hoping I won't drown
We will find rest in the deep end
If I'm washed ashore, just know I can breathe again
Hot coals and surreptitious
Flames burn the skin from my chest
You can only grow suspicious
Betrayed by the friendly fiction in his name
Pints overflowed with hatred
A mind made to hold it sacred
Father grows impatient
Latent ways to fuel and indoctrinate
We will find rest in the deep end
If I'm washed ashore, just know I can breathe again

We will find rest in the deep end
If I'm washed ashore, just know I can breathe again

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Project R.I.P's song "Exodus" seem to convey a feeling of inner turmoil and a longing for release from that turmoil. The first few lines suggest a sense of frustration, with the singer feeling overwhelmed by their own emotions and seeking some kind of retribution or resolution. They mention a "grand illusion," which could refer to a false perception or belief that has contributed to their suffering. The references to crying out and hoping not to drown indicate a desire for relief or escape.

The next section of lyrics introduces the idea of finding rest in the deep end, perhaps symbolizing a place of solace or peace. The singer expresses the belief that, even if they are washed ashore, they will be able to breathe again, implying that they have the strength to overcome their struggles. The following lines talk about hot coals and flames burning the skin, which could be metaphors for pain or betrayal. The mention of the "friendly fiction in his name" suggests that the singer has experienced betrayal or deception from someone they once trusted.

The final lines of the song continue the theme of finding rest in the deep end and breathing again. The repetition of this phrase emphasizes the singer's determination to find peace and resilience. Overall, "Exodus" appears to be a song about grappling with inner demons, seeking resolution, and ultimately finding the strength to overcome.

Same, I’ve only really gotten into Thrope Park recently, and theme parks in general, so I never went on it. But it seemed like a nice ride

I would absolutely LOVE for this to be a western themed area once again and bits of old towns history repurposed as theming. Merlin tends to do the same themes and I can’t help but think exodus, although impressive, will just be some grey box with some shiny bits to go with it. Would of loved for a fully realised western area again just to add something different to the park!

Theme park Awesome

RIP Rocky Express. Very sad news that it didn't survive the removal but Project Exodus is an huge excitment.
