In 1997 Johnson toured Europe as an opening act for Michael Jackson and 3T. Her debut album was also certified Silver in the UK. Towards the end of the year Miracle reached Top 40 in Holland and the single "Over & Over" hit the Top 20.
To date she has not released any further material and has slipped out of the limelight. However Puff Johnson is listed as co-writer on 3 tracks on the 2005 album 'A Change Is Gonna Come' by US singer Leela James (Track 3 - 'Good Time' along with Gordon Williams, James herself and Kenton Nix, Track 7 'When You Love Somebody' with Gordon and James and Track 13 'Prayer' alongside Chucky Thompson and James).

Johnson lived in South Africa since January 2009, following her concert in Johannesburg. She attributed the decision to relocate to South Africa to the friendly and warm people that she met throughout her journey in the country.
Johnson died of cervical cancer on June 24, 2013 at the age of 40.[1]
Over And Over

With your suitcase in your hand
Ready to quit this place
There were just too many people
With too little left to lose
You were just one more face
But you weren't born to give up easy
You weren't raised to just lie down
And you saw the sun that rises up for more
Over and over
You watch the wave that wears away the shore
Over and over again
And if there's any justice in this world
Gotta keep fighting on
Over and over
They say God always forgives us
But can we forgive ourselves
If we let our hope die
Cause if passion is a weakness
And silence is a strength
Who's gonna hear the cry?
So we gotta climb the highest mountain
We gotta shout for all to hear
And we'll see the sun that rises up for more
Over and over and over
And we'll feel the wave that wears away the shore
Over and over and over again
And if there's any justice in this world
Gotta keep moving on
Over and over
You gotta keep fighting on
Over and over
(All that we dream)
All that we dream can come to be
All that we lost we'll find if we
Just strike the match
And fan the flame
We'll build a blaze
That lights the way
We'll be the sun that rises up for more
Over and over
We'll be the wave that wears away the shore
Over and over again
And if there's any justice in this world
You gotta keep moving on
Over and over
Gotta keep fighting on
We'll be the star that rises up
Over and over
Over and over and over and over
'Cause if there's any justice in this world
You gotta keep moving on
Over and over
You gotta keep moving on
You gotta keep fighting on
Over and over
Over and over again
The lyrics to Puff Johnson's song Over and Over are a call to never give up, even in the face of adversity, and to keep fighting. In the first verse, the singer is depicted as being on the verge of leaving a place they dislike because they feel they have little left to lose. However, the song soon moves to a message of hope and encouragement, urging the listener to rise above their struggles and keep moving forward. The chorus suggests that despite the difficulties and challenges one might face, if they continue to fight, the sun will rise again, the waves will continue to wear away the shore, and justice will eventually be served. The symbolism used to represent the idea of perseverance is both powerful and poignant, invoking images of natural phenomena that are both cyclical and never-ending.
The last verse of the song takes on a more introspective tone as the lyrics question whether we can truly forgive ourselves if we let our hopes die. The song encourages us to climb the highest mountains, and shout for all to hear as a means of finding our voice and strength to keep fighting. The second chorus continues the message of determination, stating that all we dream can come to be if we light the fire and blaze a path. Ultimately, the song reminds us that we must keep fighting on, even if we feel like we are facing great odds.
Overall, the song's message is one of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. It reminds us that we are stronger than we think, and that we must keep pushing forward, even when all seems lost.
