Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Can you hear me now
Brother brother
I am broken down
Brother brother
Tell me how can I be more since herein
Brother brother
Please please
Father can you balm my grief
I need someone thatĀ“s older and stronger than me
Father I am about to choke
Father please take me home
Mother Mother
Can you fix my yearning
Mother mother
I can hear the sad song tuninĀ“in
Mother Mother
I am in the depths of despair
Mother Mother
Please Please get me out of here
Father can you balm my grief
I need someone that is older and stronger than me
Father I am about to choke
Father please take me home
CauseĀ“I still feel the pain from the night he explained why itĀ“s over
I wish I was a sparrow in the sky so that I could fly to tomorrow
Into the bright daylight, even the night behind and its morrow
Because I just not lost a man but my best friend
I not lost a man but my best friend
I not lost a man but my best friend in the whole world
The song "Brother" by Qeaux Qeaux Joans is a moving and emotional lament about the pain and grief of losing a loved one. The lyrics are addressed to various family members - brother, father, and mother - as the singer seeks solace and comfort in their support. Throughout the song, the singer expresses their deep sadness and despair at the loss of their "best friend in the whole world," and their yearning for some kind of release from the intense emotional pain they are experiencing.
The opening lines of the song, "Brother Brother, can you hear me now? / Brother brother, I am broken down," serve as a plea for help and support from the singer's sibling. They are struggling to cope with their grief and are reaching out for someone to help them navigate the emotional turmoil they are experiencing. The repeated refrain of "Father, can you balm my grief?" and "Father please take me home" convey a sense of desperation and hopelessness, as the singer seeks the wisdom and strength of an older and more experienced figure to help them find a way through their pain.
Similarly, the lines addressed to the singer's mother express a deep longing for comfort and solace in the face of overwhelming sorrow. The repetition of "Mother Mother, can you fix my yearning?" and "Mother Mother, I am in the depths of despair" emphasize the intensity of the singer's emotional pain, and their need for someone to help them find a way out of it.
Overall, "Brother" is a poignant and heartfelt song that offers a raw and intimate window into the experience of grief and loss. With its simple but powerful lyrics and haunting melody, it captures the universal human experience of mourning and the need for connection and support in the face of overwhelming sorrow.

Qeaux Qeaux Joans (don't know how to speak this) really shines in your happening. I am not shure if it's you or the setting. I really don't want to be offensive - that's just my own sincere opinion - the "What If... (Official teaser album No Man's Land)" trailer is not half as good as the last two performances I have seen here. It is really meant as constructive criticism. So long Crashpilot
