His recording and live work as Quiet Loner has won him many accolades, including Americana UK Album of the Year 2004 for his debut LP ‘Secret Ruler of the World’. His 2010 release 'Spectrology' is a stark and honest collection of performances recorded deep in the English countryside during the big freeze of January 2010.
Produced by Mat Martin (Kirsty McGee) it features contributions from Inge Thomson (Bonnie Prince Billy, Broken Family Band), Roy Dodds (Fairground Attraction) and long term collaborator Alan Cook (Jackie Leven, Michael Weston King). 'Spectrology' has had 4 star reviews in the Daily Mirror, Uncut, R2 and Maverick, radio play on BBC 6Music and reached #1 in the Americana UK/Maverick americana charts.
Inspired by the storytelling traditions of American folk and country music, Hill’s songs also have a distinctly British lyrical bite and cover love, loss, infidelity, suicide, attempted murder, capital punishment, the database state, terrorism, religion, war, fallen angels, the secret rulers of the world and the redemptive power of country music. Hill is an accomplished raconteur and powerful live performer delivering a show that is emotional, often funny, usually political, occasionally angry, sometimes satirical but nearly always gentle and human.

Hi everyone. I'm the 17 years old boy who post a confession here around 2 weeks ago.
Recently, I've taken a look in a feminist forum and notice that the word "incel" is throw around a lot as an insult, as if the value of a man is decided by how much sex he has .
"Slut", tying a woman's value to the amount of sex she's having is wrong , but "Incel", tying a man's value to the amount of sex he's NOT having is fine ? Yet, the people claim to hate gender roles, seem to love reinforcing them when it comes to insult men.
The big problem is "incel=terrorist", which is an absurd moral panic. If the mainstream claims about that were true, we would be truly damned. The number of men without sex lives, who want them, must conservatively number in 100's of thousands across the Western world if not some millions . And I have not yet to bring the East in.
If incels were really as dangerous as the moral panic claims, we would be seeing epic levels of violence. In reality we have seen a few tragic events, caused by a toxic combination of mentally ill people and easy access to guns (at least in America from what I see). Events which are hardly restricted to incels, many similar attacks have been perpetuated by the unemployed for example but nobody claims the jobless folks are all terrorists.
So what do you think? Any criticism are welcome and I will regard any personal attack as a dog-bark.

The reality is, that the people calling him "pathetic" and "loser" in these comments just proove us in/cels right.
You just saw a small portion of his life, most only saw the thumbnail and are already going to judge the entire person based off of that.
The blackpill is the reality for us.
The negative halo effect kills the possibility for social interaction, your social skills decline and then people call you a freak for having no social skills, which contributes to the self loathing and low self esteem and darkens your view of people and the world.
And normies are right - not everyone turns outraged at the underlying system of capitalist lookism and the female nature (scientifically correct "female choice"). Some people continue to just live on in the bluepilled belief that life is all about personality, but they turn their hate inside instead of out, those are the people that end it all. They think things through with the bluepill ideology:
"Women like men who are good people.
If women don't like me, it means I am an awfull human being."
That is why I am for blackpill. Better than the bluepill inveitability of self abasement that feminist society wants towards itself.
@VICENews
We wanted to talk to an incel on camera, someone who could explain this subculture and where it came from.
