Truth be told: I haven't listened to anything from Rufus Du Sol up until today.
I found out about this group from a handwritten note given to me by a woman that I've been absolutely captivated by for the past few months. We both are still cautiously learning more about each other when we have the time to see one another and we're both recovering from our pasts, but to say I am absolutely enamored would be an understatement. I have never met anyone else like her. The level of magnetism and attraction (emotional, intellectual, physical) is utterly indescribable.
Today I took out her handwritten note and put the name "Rufus Du Sol" in my Pandora while I was taking a walk, and this was the first song, of any of theirs, that I've ever heard to come on.
I sometimes have a hard time describing my feelings - but this song, coincidentally the first one heard from them, hit the nail on the head for me - especially every time I see her and have to leave her. The euphoria, the depth, the emotion, the longing... all wrapped up in four minutes and thirty seconds.
