Glow
R.A.T. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You got into facials
When you are
Naked without makeup
Then you start

With a feeling all around
Cause you got every kid in town
At your house
Thinking that its something else

Take it if you want
And you've got enough wrong
And now show me
Stranger things have happened in the

Take it if you want it and throw it in the middle
The devils got his fiddle
And you've got all these people, let's glow

Let's glow

Past few days nothing else I taste
With nicotine you must be sick of me
They say you can be so damn hard
But you can

Take it if you want it and throw it in the middle
The devils got his fiddle
And you've got all these people

Take it if you want
And you've got enough wrong
And now show me
Stranger things have happened in the
Dark

Take it if you want it
And if you want it

Take it if you want
And you've got enough wrong
And now show me
Stranger things have happened in the

Take it if you want it and throw it in the middle
The devils got his fiddle
And you've got all these people

Take it if you want
And you've got enough wrong
And now show me
Stranger things have happened in the

Let's glow

Overall Meaning

The lyrics in R.A.T.'s song "Glow" seem to depict a narrative about self-image and societal expectations. The opening verse sets the scene with the lines "You got into facials / When you are / Naked without makeup." This can be seen as a reflection on how individuals, particularly women, feel the pressure to maintain a certain appearance and resort to beauty treatments to feel comfortable in their own skin.

The following lines suggest a sense of disillusionment, as the singer finds themselves surrounded by people who may not truly understand them. The mention of "Thinking that it's something else" could imply a sense of misunderstanding or misinterpretation from their peers, highlighting a sense of alienation or disconnect from those around them.

The repeated refrain to "Take it if you want it" could be interpreted as an invitation to take control of one's own choices and desires, despite external pressures or judgment. The mention of having "enough wrong" may allude to feelings of inadequacy or imperfection, yet the call to "show me / Stranger things have happened" suggests a willingness to embrace unexpected outcomes or experiences.

The chorus, which repeatedly emphasizes "Let's glow," could signify a desire to shine or stand out in a world that may be filled with darkness or challenges. The reference to the devil having his fiddle could symbolize temptation or negative influences, yet the insistence to "throw it in the middle" could be a declaration of defiance or rejection of negative influences in favor of personal growth and empowerment.

Overall, "Glow" by R.A.T. appears to convey themes of self-acceptance, defiance against societal norms, and a call to embrace one's individuality and inner light. The lyrics portray a journey of self-discovery and resilience in the face of external pressures, ultimately encouraging listeners to find their own path to "glow" in their unique way.

@Joe Camel agreed. Comments are better. lol

I used dawn dish soap to free 2 skinks a male and female off of a glue board. The male was more complacent even friendly and I set him and his girlfriend free.
Sadly they lost their beautiful tails in the process.

That's awesome you still have her.

Mice disrupt my sleep, defecate wherever they roam, and potentially carry possible diseases, not to mention chew electrical wiring causing possible hazards like FIRES...I would in a heartbeat rescue a skink over a mouse any day.

Mice and squirrels I used to find endearing. That soon went right out of the window once I got an infestation of them at different times. Now the only rodents I really like are rabbits and guinea pigs.

It would be nice if PETA will going to adopt all the mouse that caught on traps.

matthew edwards

Peta doesn't believe in adoption, they think an animal is better off dead than in your care. Plenty of videos of Peta officials stealing dogs and putting them to sleep

Zion

@Ayesha Ali yup lemme just leave the animals that carry deadly diseases alive!

They call me Snowy!

@shagun tyagi no they don’t, torturing animals is abuse. No human should have the right to do such a disgusting thing

Capybara real

@Cypher Punk you just decided to release invasive species in a forest wow mice and cats made dodos extinct because the sailors brought them with them.

John Smith

I'm not against trapping with lethal or nonlethal mouse/rat traps but glue traps are fucked up. Its just prolonged suffering for the animal. Instant or near instant death is much more preferable. Just take the time and money to get a normal trap. I don't know if glue traps are even that cheap, but there are tons and tons of unique and cool traps that are more effective and far less evil and cruel for the animal.

PETA members should have all the mouse and rats live with them!😊

I understand but they are pests though. If you let them catch and free around outside, they will just multiply and come back to your house. I mean, you have to prioritize yourself and your family's safety first than being a saint to these pests. They're viruses and bacteria are no joke to harm us though.

The_All_Abiding_Dude

I have pet rabbits and since mice carry certain diseases, I cannot risk them getting sick. Them or my rabbits, but I dispatch them quickly once caught.

Ur rabbits gonna fall for the trap 💀💀
