Time seems to slip away
It runs it's course and is never here to stay
But stay safe and you'll surely miss
Friends and Places with the Power of Bliss

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to R.E.A.L.'s song "Bliss" speak to the transient nature of time and the importance of cherishing moments of joy and connection. The opening line, "Time seems to slip away," reflects the common feeling that time passes quickly and often goes unnoticed. The next line adds that time "runs its course and is never here to stay," suggesting that it is finite and constantly moving forward.

The following line, "But stay safe and you'll surely miss," introduces the idea that if we remain within our comfort zones and play it safe, we may miss out on the experiences that bring us bliss. It implies that true happiness lies beyond the boundaries of safety and routine. The final line of the verse, "Friends and Places with the Power of Bliss," suggests that it is through connections with others and being in certain environments that we can find and cultivate moments of bliss.

Overall, these lyrics encourage listeners to appreciate the fleeting nature of time and seize opportunities for joy and connection. They emphasize the importance of stepping outside of comfort zones and seeking out experiences that bring us happiness and fulfillment.
