The man is looking at the singer in a way that suggests he sees himself in him.

As if he was staring in a mirror
The man is projecting his own image onto the singer.

The woman is trying to justify her actions.

He says you don't have to go no further
The man doesn't want to hear any more excuses.

I can clearly see what's goin' on
The man knows exactly what's happening.

The woman cheated on the man in his own home without his knowledge.

Then I said wait a minute now hold on
The singer attempted to intervene and resolve the situation peacefully.

The woman is trying to calm the man down from violent action.

Tried to get him to calm down

His phone goes off and then things get a little more interesting
The plot becomes more complex with the introduction of the phone call.

He steps a little closer
The man becomes increasingly menacing.

The singer threatens the man with his gun.

The man reveals he has a male partner.

Did she tell you that I was a pastor
The man is a religious leader, which makes his affair scandalous.

The artist sees the man being religious as positive.

Why can't we handle this Christian-like
The artist proposes for the conflict to be resolved peacefully based on Christian principles.

And I started to put the gun down
The singer tries to disarm himself to avoid violence.

Til I saw his face still had that frown
The man's angry expression makes the singer feel uneasy.

The woman tries to apologize for her wrongdoing.

The woman is confused by the man's words.

The man tells the woman to be patient.

The man talks to another person waiting outside the house.

The man allows the person outside to enter the house.

The person outside is instructed to take the stairs to reach the fifth floor quickly.

And I'm like who is this mystery lady that you're talking to
The singer is curious about the identity of the mystery woman.

He says in time you both will know the shockin' truth
The man suggests that the artist and the woman will soon find out an unexpected truth.

Baby this is something I been wanting to get off my chest for a long, long time
The man hints at his desire to confess something.

Then I said nigga I'm a shoot you both if you don't say what's on ya mind
The singer threatens to use his gun to force the truth out of them.

He said wait I hear somebody comin' up the stairs

The man tries to calm the singer before the reveal.

2, she says please don't shoot
The woman pleads for her safety.

3, he says don't shoot me
The man urges the singer not to act out of violence.

4, she screams
The woman reacts to the shocking revelation.

Then a knock at the door, the guns in my hands
The other person's arrival causes tension and fear.

He opens the door, I can't believe it it's a man
The man opens the door to reveal another man, potentially the mystery woman's partner.
