Sueño su boca
Raúl Lyrics

La mirada interesante
Van temblando las aceras
Al pasar de sus caderas
Yo la observo cada día
Cuando cruza por mi calle
Y construyo fantasías
Y yo no puedo entender
Y no volver a separarnos
Pero a veces el orgullo
Ciega a los enamorados
Y yo no puedo entender
In Raúl's song "Sueño su Boca," the singer describes his infatuation with a woman who walks down his street every day. He admires her confident and elegant gait, and the way the sidewalk trembles beneath her hips. Despite never having spoken to her, he's built up fantasies of wild passion with her. He can't understand why he feels powerless to her spell, even as he dreams of her mouth and wakes up to the cruel reality of her absence.
The theme of unrequited love is a popular one in music, but "Sueño su Boca" takes a different approach by highlighting the difference between dreams and reality. The singer is keenly aware of the contrast between the intense passion of his imagined encounters and the impossibility of actually being with the woman he desires. The repeated refrain of "hace tanto que sueño su boca" emphasizes the longing and frustration he feels.
What's interesting about this song is the way it plays with stereotypes of Latinx masculinity. The singer's obsession with the woman is framed as both pathetic and heroic, as he struggles to reconcile his desire with the reality of the situation. The image of the woman's hips shaking the ground is a classic example of the hypersexualization of Latinx women, while the singer's dream of possessing her "soul and her skin" reveals a possessive streak that is often seen as macho.
Overall, "Sueño su Boca" is a complex exploration of love, longing, and male identity that showcases Raúl's skillful songwriting and emotive vocals.
