Take Off
Rachel Browne Lyrics

Loved each other in their minds

Go to sleep but never tell

Anyway, why would you?

Anyway, why would you?

Anyway, why would you?
I feel nothing today

But that won't stop your plane

I don't feel anything at all

Let's hold hands

The distance held onto

Wasn't feeling strong to

And knew that it was wrong to

They peddle truth on the side of the road

"He'll probably come back but you'll

Both be alone"

Woke up on another day

And found he'd been asleep

For longer than she'd wait

And longer than he'd stay

Wish I loved anyone

Cause then I'd tell all truths

Hit the road together,

Laugh at all my jokes

Loved each other in their minds

Go to sleep but never tell

Anyway, why would you?

Anyway, why would you?

Anyway, why would you?

I feel nothing today

But that won't stop your plane

She is literally laughing in her apology. I can’t stand her written apology. Pathetic.

Amy I completely agree! I still think there’s especially no excuse for a white person to use it, but I also think it’s wrong for the word to be used at all, in any way, regardless of context. The word needs to be gone completely, especially in the entertainment industry. There is no room for it anywhere at all. It’s awful.

Amy

But she was just singing a widely POPULAR song on the radio and internet that every culture heard played on their local radio station. If black people do not want others to use that word then we should not add it to the music. Period! It was created for us by white supremacists and is in no way EMPOWERING or endearing. And yet, black people us it to greet one anyone. 🤔🤔 Too confusing and ridiculous.

I never accidentally say the n word.... because it’s not in my effing vocabulary.

Like what am I gonna do? Bleep myself? Lol gtfoh. I’m gonna continue singing along to songs because rap is my fav genre. If you wanna call me racist then go ahead lol. Literally doesn’t bother me whatsoever if someone else calls me racist. As long as you know who you are....don’t worry about what other people think or say about you. If you wanna say nigga while you’re singing a song. Go ahead.

Jerry Bryant

jigi w I say it every single time I’m rapping along to a song WRITTEN BY A BLACK PERSON. It’s pretty simple. If black people are gonna get hurt by people saying nigga...STOP PUTTING IT IN YOUR LYRICS. Pretty simple

exactly!

It’s not in mine either. She was wrong but are we going to just not talk about the song? The word is used constantly.

P Mitchell

This generation of “I’m offended from someone singing the words of a song,” need to deal with the artist.
