"I don't know whether these guys are THAT versatile or were just stoned outta their fucking MINDS when they put together all of this. Either way, it's golden. Seriously though, it's like Insect Warfare meets Dystopia meets early Darkthrone. Just overall innovative in every which way possible, making for one hell of a listening experience."
-No Gods, No Masters
Forgotten
Ramlord Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Reduced to food for the earth
Gravity tightens your skin, time always wins
Spend your whole life destroying the planet
Now the planet destroys you
They won't bless your grave with flowers
The air turns black around you
Until you become nothing, until you become nothing
The lyrics to Ramlord's song "Forgotten" describe the harsh and inevitable reality of mortality. The opening lines, "Abandoned by hate/you decay on your back," suggest that the singer of the song has died alone and unloved. The following line, "Reduced to food for the earth," implies that the body has begun to decompose and will return to the earth it came from.
The next two lines, "Gravity tightens your skin, time always wins," speak to the idea that time is the greatest and most unstoppable force in the universe. No matter how much we may resist or try to hold on to life, ultimately we will all succumb to the ravages of time.
The chorus of the song takes on a more explicitly environmental theme, with lines like "Spend your whole life destroying the planet/Now the planet destroys you." This could be interpreted as a commentary on humanity's destructive impact on the environment, and how that destruction will eventually come back to haunt us in the form of natural disasters, climate change, and other threats to our existence.
The final verse contains some of the most searing and personal lyrics in the song, with lines like "You make me sick/They won't bless your grave with flowers." This suggests that the singer was not only unloved in life, but actively reviled by those around them. The final line, "Until you become nothing, until you become nothing," is a stark reminder that no matter how much we may try to cling to life or resist death, in the end we will all be reduced to nothingness.
Line by Line Meaning
Abandoned by hate/you decay on your back
When you let go of anger, you become vulnerable and helpless, with no control over your fate
Reduced to food for the earth
In the end, our bodies become mere sustenance for the planet, reminding us of our fragility and insignificance
Gravity tightens your skin, time always wins
As we age, skin becomes less pliable and gravity takes its toll, reminding us that time is an unstoppable force that ultimately overcomes us all
Spend your whole life destroying the planet
Without regard for the consequences, we often exploit and harm the earth without considering the long-term impact on ourselves and our fellow life forms
Now the planet destroys you
Ultimately, our actions have consequences, and the cycle of destruction we inflict on the planet eventually boomerangs back to us, often in unexpected and devastating ways
You make me sick
The arrogance and selfishness of those who prioritize their own desires above the well-being of the planet and its inhabitants is reprehensible and sickening
They won't bless your grave with flowers
Those who leave a legacy of destruction and harm will not be remembered or honored, but rather will be forgotten and ignored by future generations
The air turns black around you
When we ignore the consequences of our actions, we bring harm not only to ourselves, but to the environment around us, polluting the air and leaving behind a toxic legacy
Until you become nothing, until you become nothing
In the end, when we are gone, we are nothing and our impact on the world fades away, highlighting the fleeting and impermanent nature of existence

This is very unique crust right here. It feels like black metal and crust punk/ grindcore. Great sound right here. I like the darkness feeling to the album it's artistic.
@childrenoftheabzu
blackened crust is a very distinct genre and there is more than a handful of bands in that scene. The two go together like PB&J

"usurper tongue and nihil resonance 6(66)"
"blastphemous degradation of the human spirit"
"incantations of reverence and sub-frequency despondence"
I didn't realize "lead vocals/guitar", "drums" and "backup vocals/bass" all got their terminology updated.
Also, someone fill me in, are these songs supposed to feel longer than they are? I can't tell if it's a good thing or a bad thing as I am venturing out into this... morgue.
