Yes ma'am
Yes ma'am
Remember me (jumbled singing,laughter)
Yes ma'am
Remember me (jumbled singing, laughter, more jumbled singing)
The lyrics to Rasputina's "When I Count..." are open to interpretation, but they seem to be describing a game of hide and seek. The repetition of "yes ma'am" implies that there is someone in charge, possibly a parent or older authority figure who is counting while the others hide. The laughter and jumbled singing suggest a playful, carefree atmosphere.
The lyrics also touch on the theme of memory and the desire to be remembered. The line "remember me" is repeated several times, perhaps indicating a fear of being forgotten or a desire to leave a lasting impression on others. Overall, the song seems to capture the joy and innocence of childhood games while also exploring deeper existential concerns.
