Two members of Reality Check, Nathan Barlowe and Jonny MacIntosh, went on to help form Luna Halo.

Carousel, carousel, carousel
Carousel, carousel, carousel
Carousel, carousel, carousel
In this world of make believe
My eyes see what I want to see
I'm blinded with the simple lies
The sin that comes so naturally
Is this all that I'll ever be
Bring this madness to an end
Don't let this cycle start again
It's got me spinning 'round
And I can hardly tell
Which way is up or down
On my sin carousel
It's got me out of control
And I want to jump off
Somebody stop this ride
I think I've had enough
Spinning 'round, up and down
But I know it's alright
Move ahead, falling back
Try to leave it behind
Seems I've been here before
So familiar I can tell
Need your help to get off
Of my sin carousel
It's suffice to say I move
Because of your great fortitude
So unstable are my feet
They love to make a fool of me
Afraid to fall I feel corrupt
And as I drop, you pick me up
Take me were I've never been
Don't let this cycle start again
It's got me spinning 'round
And I can hardly tell
Which way is up or down
On my sin carousel
It's got me out of control
And I want to jump off
Somebody stop this ride
I think I've had enough
Spinning 'round, up and down
But I know it's alright
Move ahead, falling back
Try to leave it behind
Seems I've been here before
So familiar I can tell
Need your help to get off
Of my sin carousel

The song "Carousel" by Reality Check is a reflective piece that talks about the constant cycle of sin in life. The opening lines, "Carousel, carousel, carousel," are repeated throughout the song and serve as a metaphor for this cycle. The singer of the song acknowledges that in this "world of make believe," they see what they want to see and are often blinded by simple lies, easily justifying any sinful deeds they commit. The repetitive cycle of sin is so natural to them that they question if that's all that they'll ever be.
The song takes a turn in the second verse as the singer acknowledges their need for a higher power to guide them out of this cycle. They recognize that they are corrupt and unstable, and their feet love to make a fool out of them. They need someone to pick them up and guide them to a place they've never been before. The chorus reflects the singer's desire to get off this "sin carousel," as they feel out of control and want to jump off.
In conclusion, "Carousel" is a thought-provoking song that encourages listeners to reflect on their own cycles of sin and the need for a higher power to guide us out of them.
