They dominated the Sunset Strip for a while, gracing the cover of Rock City News, sharing the stage with great bands like Alleycat Scratch and Ana Black as well as packing shows at Gazzarri's, The Troubadour and the world famous Whisky A Go Go. As a kid who moved around a lot and didn't have enough time to make friends til we were stuck in Alabama for seven years, yes. It absolutely reminds me of Alabama. It's where my mom and dad first shown me this film. I was 12-13, a shy and awkward girl who didn't like socializing much. I was homeschooled for a bit. Boy, going into the public middle school in the Alabama town I lived in was a mistake. It was a real nightmare. But there was a guy who was a lot like him, if not worse. That guy wasn't cute like Ace either. Just a redneck mommas boy slinging around the f slur like it was a casual greeting. Had to hide from him because I was in the special needs class due to my math and other things. If you think that guy wouldn't hurt a girl, you're sorely mistaken. I got at least ten bruises a day from that punk and he elbowed my chest on purpose in the halls because he knew it hurt like a motherfucker cuz you know....I'll let you fill in that blank. I'm sure your science class had education on puberty. (At least I hope. That school didn't and I knew things that made half of those kids lose their shit. 😂 They also had some of the lowest test scores and highest illiteracy rates in the state.)

I grew up in a small town. The police station was 2 towns over. They'd occasionally roll through for a look but otherwise they weren't a presence. Guys like Ace loved living there.
