In this case I doubt it. Although, he probably packed that one, not sure how it would heal, with two openings vs one long one. Either way you’d be stuffing a ton of packing in there.

Amazing how impacted the cysts can get. So hard you can’t even push it out. She must have felt so much relief. Hopefully another one won’t form. The way you converse with your patients is so calm and comforting. Just like always nothing to worry about.

The reason I said it sounded a bit suspect is because, although they are likely your own germs, nevertheless, I bet you didn't disinfect your tub--therefore you were introducing germs. As a person who has had to change many, many dressings, and has had to be knowledgeable about wound care--I therefore do know a little wounds and dressings. But you, being a stranger on the internet, couldn't possibly know what I know.

That was quite a cyst removal. You are so professional as well as compassionate and teaching us what these cysts are and to give us the knowledge of questions to ask in this sort of situation. It seems most ER doctors are not educated well in the treatment of cysts or do not want to invest the time because they are swamped with so many patients. I wish a tutorial could be done what to do

Oh, and thank you for not asking the patient if she's okay every 5mins. 😉 I like that you numb the site thoroughly, then are able to focus on the procedure; educating all as you go along. Hope she had a good recovery.

I wish our "PCPc"/"PCMs" took our concerns and complaints about cyst(s) pain(s) as seriously. It's a challenge to get many to submit a referral to our insurance, so we may have the necessary procedures done, especially for patients with autoimmune diseases - which complicates things since nothing is ever "routine" or "typical" for them.

Again, thank you for your attention to detail whilst addressing your patients' medical needs, and your patience in educating your patients and viewers.

Its not often i get emotional watching things like that, normally it would just gross me out but watching this made me cry for her because i too once had and known the pain of a recurring cyst. I applaud her strength and bravery to endure that pain for so long and during the procedure. I would have been insisting to be unconscious for it myself as i would be too afraid of the pain of all the squeezing and digging...... great job Dr!

Holy Cow! This was crazy! I've been watching you for some time now and this was one of my favorites. I swear I feel like I could perform one of these procedures since watching you so much. My husband thinks I'm crazy for watching stuff like this on YouTube. I love it! I wanted to see you poke the black spot on the bottom of this cyst and rid her of that issue since it looked like just another cyst forming. How does one get such a massive cyst like that? My daugher had one on her lower back by her tailbone when she was 12. It got bad because she refused to let the dr touch her until it got to the point that something had to be done. She has a permanant scare from it now.

This poor patient….I can only imagine the absolute relief she felt afterward. With it being located right under her bra strap she had been dealing with a lot of pain and discomfort. She won’t have to worry about it coming back since The doctor did a fantastic job removing the sac wall.

I had never had a cyst or abscess until 1999 when I was pregnant with my son. I first developed one on the upper part of my side right where the edge of my bra rubbed it constantly. Because of the constant rubbing it became very red and irritated. One day I was fed up with it and stood in front of a mirror and squeezed it with every ounce of strength and after about the third squeeze it popped….It was a lot of liquid substance. Thankfully it didn’t return. However, 3 weeks later I developed another one in a different location. It was on the lower part of my stomach and right above my pubic bone. I tried to pop it, My Husband tried and My Mother tried, but no matter how hard we squeezed it wouldn’t pop. Fast forward a few months, it was still there and I was in the Hospital giving birth to my son. Having a Mitral Valve Prolapse, I was given an antibiotic through an IV. A week later we were in the car and I suddenly felt something very weird and having just given birth recently for the first time I couldn’t even begin to imagine what that weird feeling was. I went into a restaurant bathroom and could not believe what had actually happened. The cyst I had for nearly 5 months that nobody could pop had just popped all by itself with out being touched. Of course I found out it was the antibiotics I had received the week before that caused it to pop. I was thrilled it was gone. That was 24 years ago and I haven’t had a cyst or abscess since. They had only showed up while I was pregnant….It was my only pregnancy. I haven’t ever researched it, but I wonder if they were brought on by my pregnancy.

Most things i already knew but I learned something new, how the skin makes scar tissue to prevent infection from spreading. Also I'm very glad you're doing your absolute best at getting that whole sack out so it doesn't return (the cyst I mean). Thank you for showing your work. After watching numerous other abscess clean ups on youtube , you are the very best!!; in pain mangement, planning how to remove in the least obtrusive manner, keeping the area clean, talking your patient through the process, and especially numbing the patient thoroughly enough to really clean the abscess contents out (sack and all) with your pressure applied with both hands (fingers) all the way around the entire abscess. Great job(s)!!

I had a cyst like this just above my tail done on my lower back. The doctor did it this way. The doctor then had a medical assistant pack it full of gauss. I came back every day for a week to have it repacked. By the end of the week it closed off and was well on the way to healing. After the pressure was gone it really felt better. ❤

I still and will always be amazed buy this special block that he is created that is able to numb all the way to the bottom of a cyst like this. I have never seen anyone including dr.lee be able to work at this level without refreezing or simply not removing this amount of content. I don't know if he learnt this during his education or if this was something he figured out on his own but it is amazing that with the amount of inflammation in the cyst that he was able to scrape the cyst lining from the bottom. Definitely the one and only cyst Whisperer. We just have to get those subscribers in here and bring those numbers up. I feel with the amount of views and comments he should be up two half a million subscribers by now.

When I had a huge cyst removed from the middle of my back, my doctor made sure if I felt pain, she put more numbing medicine. My cyst was really deep, and I had it like over 40 years. It started small and would leak every so often. It got infected so I really needed it removed. Been 7years since it was removed. Hasn't come back yet. Was a HUGE relief, laying on my back was excruciating, and the smell from the stuff that would leak was nasty!

Loved this. Felt a little bad for her, but, she didn't seem to be in so much pain. I have watched this many times. Never get tired of it. Dr. PopZit, you are the BEST.
