When I found a picture of you I forgot even existed
When everything was new
When we were all still bored
I′m embarrassed of how little that I do remember
Head up because you know I could do I surrender
If it was all a charade then baby who was playing who
Who wouldn't know what I could do to you
Who wouldn′t know what I could
If you let me
If you let me
(Oh)
I would burn your soul
(Oh)
I would burn your soul
Yeah I've seen the sunny side of the street
Seems like its filled with assholes to me
Yeah I've seen the sunny side of the street
Seems like its filled with assholes to me
You can′t go and blame everything on your innocence
When you leave your guard down and your disregarding common sense
You′ve been asking why
When you should be asking how
You should have known I wasn't like other people
Deep down inside of me there is something evil
If it didn′t matter then
Well does it matter now
Who wouldn't know what I could do to you
Who wouldn′t know what I could
If you let me
If you let me in
I will burn your soul
I will burn your soul
(Oh)
I will burn your soul
(Oh)
I will burn your soul
Yeah I've seen the sunny side of the street
Seems like it′s filled with assholes to me
Yeah I've seen the sunny side of the street
Seems like it's filled with assholes to me
I was looking through a pile of my old shit
When I found a picture of you I forgot even existed
When everything was new
When we were all still bored
The opening of Red City Radio's song "Let Me In" finds the singer reminiscing about a forgotten photograph of a past lover. He speaks of being embarrassed about how little he remembers of their past, but also hints at a darker side to himself, asking, "Who wouldn't know what I could do to you / If you let me in?" This line suggests that there is a level of violence or danger within the singer that he may not even fully comprehend himself.
The chorus, where he repeats "I will burn your soul" serves as a warning to his former lover that he is not to be trifled with. He seems to be indicating that he has the power to completely destroy her emotionally and spiritually, and there is a sense of menace in the repeated refrain. However, it is unclear whether this desire for power over his past love is purely hypothetical, or if he has already acted on these impulses.
The final verse speaks to the singer's inherent darkness once again, suggesting that he is not like other people and that there is something evil inside of him. As a result, he is critical of those who indulge their innocence and ignore their common sense, indicating a sense of superiority over those who do not possess his level of cunning and ruthlessness.
Overall, "Let Me In" paints a picture of a manipulative, possibly sociopathic personality who is reflecting on a past relationship with a mixture of sentimentality and aggression. The lyrics are open to interpretation, but the tone suggests that the singer is not a sympathetic character, and that his past lover was wise to leave him.

Deep down inside of me there is something evil
Within me lies a wickedness that runs deep
If it didn’t matter then
If it wasn't important earlier
Well does it matter now
Then why should it matter at present
(Oh) I will burn your soul
I am resolute in my intention to hurt you deeply
Yeah I’ve seen the sunny side of the street
Self-explanatory
Seems like it’s filled with assholes to me
