In June, 2009, Red Shoes released their first album in their current configuration Ring Around the Land on Cedarwood Records featuring backups by Dave Pegg of Fairport Convention, Chris Leslie, PJ Wright, Megan Evans (Carolyn and Mark's daughter). The album includes Dave Swarbrick's song "White Dress", their version of the Child Ballad "Two Sisters", a song based on Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes", and a wide variety of other self-penned songs. The album ends with the traditional Morris tune "Shepherd's Hay".
As a duo, Red Shoes has had a song featured in the Fatea compilation "Duos", which was made available free of charge for download (http://www.fatea-showcase-sessions.co.uk.) for a limited time in September 2008. .The song "My Father's Green Beret" speaks of the tragedy of Carolyn's father, a decorated WWII veteran, who died due to neglect and unsanitary conditions in an NHS hospital,
