Redman's solo career continued throughout the remainder of the decade, with each of his albums selling at least half a million copies. His musical style has remained very consistent, rarely deviating from a combination of Redman's unique braggadocious wit and hard, P-funk-influenced beats. In addition to releasing albums under his own name, he is part of the group Def Squad (along with Keith Murray and Erick Sermon) with whom he released the 1998 album El Nino, and also has formed a close partnership with labelmate Method Man (of the Wu-Tang Clan) with whom he released the 1999 album Blackout!. The long-awaited follow-up, Blackout! 2, apeared in 2009.
He has also collaborated extensively, both with hip-hop artists and with artists from other genres; the long list of artists and groups he has worked with includes Wyclef Jean, Snoop Dogg, Scarface, The Offspring, Christina Aguilera, Eminem, Gorillaz, D'Angelo, Me'shell Ndegeocello, 2Pac, Jodeci, Cypress Hill, De La Soul, KRS One and IAM.
In 2001 Redman co-starred with Method Man in the stoner comedy film How High, which featured the pair playing two marijuana-addled students attempting to survive at Harvard. Method Man and Redman also appear in the Def Jam Vendetta video game series, often as Tag Team partners, and briefly had their own television sitcom, Method & Red, on Fox during the 2004-2005 season.
Redman is also featured on the video game "True Crime: New York City", in which the central character interacts with an undercover street cop based upon the rap star, who also provides the voice for him.

I am an animal defjammable titanical high flammable
Don't ? me I live ?
I am eating ball
I didn't go to Hannibal
My anathema I prescribed it
Said you all in my hood like it
I advise them sterilize them
I know what you people gonna do without him
And these ladies gonna ? around and talk about him
So I keep in money and keep in rocking
Flammable titanical
Call me pimp nuts
On a chick but
She gotta a sister?
I got a mixer
My car inside is dark
The door is suicide ? cut
I am a wringer
You can see me
If I was Avatar in 3D

You career like George ?
You can hi hi
But I'm a ha ha

In an I-pod
Near kept in a ?
I'm a fly guy? Well I'm not?

I try to bisect for life like a Jewish kid
And me running in the block like a new kid

In Redman's song "Def Jammable," the lyrics are a combination of witty wordplay and braggadocio. The opening lines convey Redman's energy and combustibility as he describes himself as an "animal defjammable titanical high flammable." The use of these adjectives emphasizes his explosive and unrelenting persona. He goes on to say "Don't? Me I live?" which can be interpreted as a call to arms, a warning to not mess with him because he's living in the moment and is unpredictable.
He continues to showcase his lyrical prowess by using clever word associations such as "eating ball," which can be interpreted as a slang term for "eating" or "consuming" everything in sight. He doesn't shy away from controversial topics by mentioning "Hannibal" (referencing Hannibal Lector) and "sterilize them." He then boasts his confidence in his music by urging people to "hear the album" and claiming that he knows what people will do without him.

This is one of my favourite rap songs of the year. Sick flow, incredible beat. Redman's a legend, Reggie's a decent album. HOW HIGH 2!

This song and album are DOPE!!! Redman gets better every album. I've learned over the years that if you try to compare Red to his last album or the record sales of other artists you'll always be disappointed. But this is not because his album was lacking, it is because Red strives to do something unique with each LP. He did the damn thing with this one. Judge this album on its own merits and you'll Love it. The song "FULL NELSON" is a Beast!!!
