Reedy started listening to rap music in 1999 when his young 10 year old ears caught a listen to Eminem’s ‘The Slim Shady LP’. Reedy was fascinated and from here started writing his own songs. Though at first not writing rap songs in particular, his writing talent soon became apparent. It wasn’t until a year later Reedy got really into rap music, with the release of ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’ Reedy became intrigued by what could be accomplished by a young white rapper, and so began focusing his lyrics in a more hip hop direction.
Although Reedy had songs under his belt at such a young age he did not know what to do with them. It wasn’t until 2005 he found a website that would allow his creative mind to build up his talent further, Brick City. A written freestyle competition website where you battle other members in written verses verbally dissing each other. Reedy was a member of Brick City for one year, building up his craft and becoming one of the best known members on the website. He decided to move on from Brick City after he was playing around with audio. He found a free instrumental on the internet that fit well with a song he had written and decided to give rapping it himself a go. He bought the cheapest microphone he could find (Logitech Desktop Mic - £10) and recorded the song. Reedy was shocked and impressed by the results, so much so he posted the complete song on Brick City’s audio section to get reviews from the other members. Great comments from the members made Reedy decide he was more than just writing, he was more than just written freestyles, and so packed his bags and left Brick City to move on to making real music.
The song Reedy recorded was called ‘Gotta Get Her Back’ and can be found in the 'Old Music' section of Reedy’s website.
In 2005 Reedy finished school and started Media Studies at college. While Reedy enjoyed Media Studies his attention was not fixed on it, he had ambitions now of a music career and wanted to pursue that dream. In 2006 coming towards the end of the Media course, Reedy, by chance, came across the recording studios in the college. While walking passed the studios Reedy heard a hip hop beat coming from behind one of the doors, he decided to take a chance and knocked. A kind hearted student studying to be a sound engineer opened the door. Reedy expressed who he was and complimented the beat he heard and from this a friendship began.
After talking about his ambitions and ideas, Reedy asked the student if he would record and produce Reedy’s first album, a short EP Reedy had been writing for the majority of that year. The student accepted and recording began May 19th 2006 and finished just two weeks later. The ‘Remember the Name EP’ was created, and Reedy’s passion became that much stronger.
The ‘Remember the Name EP’ is available for free download in the 'Old Music' section of Reedy’s Website.
After the summer of 2006 Reedy went back to college, this time to study something more himself, Music Technology. This course allowed Reedy to have free studio time in the college studios he had become familiar with. While studying Reedy was also writing his second EP, titled ‘‘Cause of Karma’. He started recording the songs in January 2007 and finished recording in May the same year. The EP went live over the internet the following month. The album got good reviews for Reedy and got him some attention from bigger names in the underground (e.g. Rydem MC). This album’s response gave Reedy hope and made him push his music towards higher ground.
The ‘’Cause of Karma’ EP is available for free download in the 'Old Music' section of Reedy’s website.
Reedy carried on writing and recording a few songs between 2007 and 2008, including solos and collaborations, including a few with Rydem MC and others who were known in the underground at that time. Reedy had also planned on another EP release in May 2008 but unfortunately it never came. Reedy’s ambitions were being distracted by difficulties in his life which in August 2008 (Aged 19), after completing his college course, led Reedy to run away. All the way to the U.S.A.
Reedy had a long distance relationship with a girl in America. He ran away to be with her in the great Washington State in a little town called South Bend. Short of money Reedy had to put his dreams to the side for the moment, unfortunately Reedy didn’t know a moment would be 2 years.
On September 22nd 2010 Reedy returned to the U.K. after his relationship came to an end due to differences. But for Reedy this could have been the best outcome in the end. Almost as soon as Reedy arrived back in England he put his ambitions back on and put music back in first place in his life. Reedy started writing again and started preparing himself to go at music hard.
Reedy wrote, recorded and released his first full length album in 2012, titled 'Keep Looking Up'. The album was recorded in the AudioBeach Studios in Brighton between May and August 2012, and then released soon after on November 22nd. On its release the album got glowing reviews from online magazines and online radio stations, including Merge Magazine who said about Reedy and the album, 'it’s the mix of commercial awareness in the beats and tunes and his clever, well observed self revealing lyrics that makes Reedy set alight the syllables with a BOOM.' You can read the rest of the review on Merge Magazine's website here.
The cover art of the album features a painting by Lewes artist Julian Bell, who kindly let Reedy use his painting 'The Boy Looks Up' for all the art work associated with the album, as they both believed the album fit very well with the painting.
Since the albums release Reedy has been gigging. He has performed all over Sussex and has been given tremendous responses for his music at every venue. On July 30th2013 Reedy won the Hastings Music Award for best Hip Hop Artist and performed at the event. He was also featured in the Hailsham Festival 'Gotta Boom' line up in September 2013 and made himself to the final of the Festivals music competition. Reedy is still performing all over Sussex, so do try to go see him perform.
On October 4th 2013, Reedy released news on a new LP. He stated that he previously intended the album to be finished and released by December the same year but has had to push it back to May 1st 2014, but to not let the fans down, Reedy also stated that instead of the LP in December he would be releasing a mixtape instead
Big Bad Wolf
Reedy Lyrics

Big bad wolf with the devil in his features,
He beats you not physically but mentally,
And you carry on loving him, but eventually,
Yeah, I won’t be able to hold back,
I’ve got too much love to be able to do that,
And deep in your heart, I know you knew that,
And deep in my heart I’ve loved you a long time,
Letting you take the rap, for all that he does that’s bad,
Yeah I can tell you’re sad, he’s drained all the joy you had,
I could bring it back, but the point of the fact is,
He has completely fucking messed you to stay with him,
Prays on your innocence with devilish intentions,
If I was you I wouldn’t trust him for a second,
This songs just an act of my protection,
‘Cause,
He thinks he’s the big bad wolf, tough enough to prey on a woman that he
Loves,
And as soon as you try to leave that’s when he shows his teeth, and digs
His claws in until you shriek,
But he’s just an impersonation of the big bad wolf, tough enough to destroy
A woman that he loves,
And as soon as you try to go that’s when his claws do show, and he digs
Them in ya until ya weak,
But he’s just a big bad wolf,
Silly little big bad wolf,
Nothing but a big bad wolf,
But who’s afraid of the big bad wolf,
I don’t know how long I can sit here,
Knowing that you’re scared of his imminent return,
Because if he catches you talking to a guy,
You’re instantly a s*** in his eyes and they burn,
Up and he instantly erupts, and suddenly it’s enough,
His soul becomes corrupt, and he thinks he’s seeing love,
But not any real love could be like this,
This is an addiction, some sadistic shit and its,
Not classy the way that he acts it is,
Not funny when he claims it’s an accident,
When he fights with you and starts up an argument,
And starts smashing things when he’s losing the will to live,
I can’t believe it when you tell me these things he does,
Cusses at you, acting like you’re fucking worthless,
And the worst thing is you start believing it yourself,
And you start to think that you’re the cause of all this hell,
And that he’s only shouting at you because you started it,
He’s only smashing the flat because you asked for it,
If I was you I wouldn’t give him any of my attention,
This songs just an act of my affection,
‘Cause,
He thinks he’s the big bad wolf, tough enough to prey on a woman that he
Loves,
And as soon as you try to leave that’s when he shows his teeth, and digs
His claws in until you shriek,
But he’s just an impersonation of the big bad wolf, tough enough to destroy
A woman that he loves,
And as soon as you try to go that’s when his claws do show, and he digs
Them in ya until ya weak,
But he’s just a big bad wolf,
Silly little big bad wolf,
Nothing but a big bad wolf,
But who’s afraid of the big bad wolf,
I don’t like the way that you’re quiet,
Not with me but suddenly are when you’re with him,
Like he’s dominant and you’re afraid to say a word,
In case he thinks you’re talking out of line, it’s not your turn,
But he’s nothing, yeah; I can tell you that,
Any person is if they are treating you like crap,
You are lovely! Beautiful! Kindest woman at heart,
And if he’s such a twat not to notice, you should depart,
Leave his sorry ass, yeah, he don’t give a damn,
He’s addicted to ya love! He just wants you around,
What kind of love is it when all he does is start a fight,
Says he misses ya but then makes sure you argue through the night,
And I can’t stand it; but I’ve got to hand it to ya,
For lasting so long within his walls, his arms, his power,
How much do you really mean to him, let’s see the evidence?
A forty pound engagement ring, oh your eminence,
It’s negligence, just treating you with malevolence,
He should be treating you at the highest point of elegance,
If I was you I wouldn’t be in a state of suspension,
This songs just an act of our connection,
‘Cause
He thinks he’s the big bad wolf, tough enough to prey on a woman that he
Loves,
And as soon as you try to leave that’s when he shows his teeth, and digs
His claws in until you shriek,
But he’s just an impersonation of the big bad wolf, tough enough to destroy

Them in ya until ya weak,
But he’s just a big bad wolf,
Silly little big bad wolf,
Nothing but a big bad wolf,
But who’s afraid of the big bad wolf,
Not Me…
The lyrics of Reedy's song "Big Bad Wolf" are a commentary on an abusive relationship. The singer observes that the woman he loves is in a relationship with a man who treats her poorly, both mentally and emotionally. The man is compared to a big bad wolf with devilish intentions, preying on the woman's innocence. He manipulates her into thinking she is at fault for his anger and aggression, and the woman has become drained of joy.
The singer can no longer sit back and watch the abuse happen. He declares his love for the woman and promises to protect her from the big bad wolf. The bridge suggests that the woman's silence around the abuser is a result of fear and domination. The singer acknowledges the woman's value and questions the worth of a love that is manifested through abuse.
Reedy's song explores the theme of abusive relationships and the psychological manipulation that often goes undetected. By using the imagery of the big bad wolf, Reedy creates a vivid depiction of a predator intimidating and manipulating their prey. The song urges listeners to recognize the signs of abuse and to stand up against it.
