I was a chef/cook when I was in high school on Cape Cod at Fred's Turkey House. Arnold came into the restaurant a few times and he had the opportunity to enjoy a meal prepared by me. Genuinely nice guy. Very down to earth. I love cigars and this is one of my favorite things to do.

I had the honor of spending time with Arnold and some of his friends while skiing. This was during a period when he was most famous. I have never met anyone of his fame that would go out of his way to be nice to all his fans, especially the kids, when no one was watching or filming. My experience with him, was that he is a true gentleman, and also, brilliant.

Quite the contrary ever since I've seen Arnold's video I have smoked my cigars with the use of Arnold's techniques and it does make a difference the cigars are moist and absolutely scrumptious to smoke and I dip it multiple times in liquor and then smoke throughout the smoking session of the cigar and absolutely it makes a difference I love it.

Saw the same kind of things visiting a tobacco farmhouse in Cuba. The old farmer smoked his cigars after soaking the tip in a glass shot of rum. Tried it on the spot, smoking rum cigar under a canopy of drying tobacco leaves. Fantastic memories of this moment.

I was lucky enough to Meet Arnold once just briefly as he was super busy with all these fans signing and talking. Nicest Guy, literally came off as someone you'd sit down with holding a good drink and a Cigar and just BS about whatever. He was very attentive for being so rushed and I was very intrigued by his ability to do so. Great all around Guy made some great movies. You know that was one of the rare times I have to say that I watched a celebrity and honestly just thought "he's really enjoying himself, this dude is honestly into cigars." For some reason it made me feel happier, I liked the honesty and enthusiasm.

I was in Cuba a few years back, absolutely loved the place, especially Havana vieja (old Havana) and Vinales, a small town in the surrounding countryside outside of Havana, where most of the islands tobacco is farmed, I got speaking to one of the old farmers there that knew a thing or two about cigars, he said to me that, the top three cigars in Cuba were renowned after their most famous smokers, first, is the Cohiba, which was Castro's favourite, who was known to dip his Cohiba in honey and Cuba's finest rum, which is the Havana club 7 year old dark. Coming in at second was the Montecristo, which was Che Guevara's favourite and then finally the Romeo y Julietta's, which was the cigar smoked by Winston Churchill. I bought a box of Romeo y Julietta's and dipped the end in some honey and Havana club rum and relaxed to the sound of the waves. Great memory.

I've dipped the tip of my cigars in a glass of rum as I've smoked them since having someone show me it back in the 90's but have never wiped in on the entire cigar. I'll give it a shot.

I tried to infuse a couple of good cigars once. Totally fucked them up. Turned them into damp, spongy worthless rolls of wet tobacco. Yeah, I did it wrong, but I thought I'd followed the suggestions from other aficionados. Silly me.
