Founded by brothers John and Cruise Russo, Reverse Order began actively gigging as a complete outfit with Russack and Schaafsma in 2007, originally trading off on instruments. Schaafsma and Russack then left the band, and Mike Spadafora took over on guitar, shortly after adding Justin Bylina on bass to the line- up. After playing at national Pollstar venues like The Stone Pony, PNC Bank Arts Center, Crocodile Rock Cafe, The Meadowlands and The Highline Ballroom, the band played The Bamboozle Festival in both 2008 and 2009 in New Jersey. Justin Bylina left to work on his own projects. [3] Reverse Order has also played on the Vans Warped Tour and at the Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning, among many other national festivals and events. With a new line-up, the band plans to record a new release in summer 2010.
Our City

It's been a long road,
Filled with heartache filled with fear,
So many answers left unknown,
Through the pain,
Take my hand,
We'll build a braver stronger world,
Never gonna bring us down,
Never gonna watch us fall,
This is our city,
We are Boston,
They're never gonna hold us down,
We will stand tall,
This is our city,
We are Boston,
So here we are,
On the streets I know,
Climbed the hills healed the heartbreak,
Through the darkness we have grown,
You picked me up,
And we carried on,
Treading mile after mile,
Step by step we learned to run,
(We will run)
Never gonna bring us down,
Never gonna watch us fall,
This is our city,
We are Boston,
They're never gonna hold us down,
We will stand tall,
This is our city,
We are Boston,
From the Mystic to the Charles.
Flowing out into the Harbor,
Together we remember,
We all sing,
From Brighton down to Hyde,
Fenway along the Red Line,
Together we remember,
We all sing,
Never gonna bring us down,
Never gonna watch us fall,
This is our city,
We are Boston,
Never gonna bring us down,
Never gonna watch us fall,
This is our city,
We are Boston,
They're never gonna hold us down,
We will stand tall,
This is our city,
We are Boston strong.
The lyrics in "Our City" by Reverse Order speak to the strength and resilience of the people of Boston, Massachusetts. The first verse acknowledges the difficulties and heartbreak felt by the community throughout the year, but emphasizes the importance of staying together and building a stronger world hand in hand. The chorus repeats the phrase "Never gonna bring us down" as a declaration of fortitude and refusal to let tragedy define the city.
