Venom
Rhea Raj Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You fucked up, you know it
But youโ€ฒre too good to show it
Your ego is shameless (oh)
Boy, you better learn how to tame it

Do you really wanna see the other side of me? (Mm)
She ain't very pretty when intimidated
Bringing out the menace in my body, babe
Finger on the trigger, better run before I hit you with the-

Venom (venom), venom (venom), venom (venom), oh yeah
Venom (venom), venom (venom), venom (venom), oh yeah
Seducing the serpent, I bite when Iโ€ฒm hurting
Venom (venom)

Watch out, I'll be lurking
Know 'bout every move that youโ€ฒve been making

You donโ€ฒt really wanna see the other side of me
She ain't very pretty when intimidated
Bringing out the menace in my body, babe
Finger on the trigger, better run before I hit you with the

Uhh, venom (venom), venom (venom), venom (venom), oh yeah
Venom (venom), venom (venom), venom (venom), oh yeah
Seducing the serpent, I bite when Iโ€ฒm hurting
Venom (venom), oh

Oh-oh, yea-yea-yea-yeah
Oh, oh
(Venom, venom)

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Venom, venom, venom

Overall Meaning

In Rhea Raj's song "Venom," the lyrics capture a sense of empowerment and a warning to someone who has wronged the singer. The opening lines "You fucked up, you know it. But you're too good to show it" speak to the fact that the person being addressed has made a mistake, but refuses to acknowledge or take responsibility for it. The line "Your ego is shameless, boy, you better learn how to tame it" emphasizes the singer's frustration with this person's arrogance and lack of remorse.

The chorus, "Do you really wanna see the other side of me? She ain't very pretty when intimidated. Bringing out the menace in my body, babe. Finger on the trigger, better run before I hit you with the venom," reveals a warning to this person. The singer is suggesting that if pushed further, their "other side," which is fierce and intimidating, will be unleashed. The metaphor of venom symbolizes the singer's ability to strike back and inflict harm if provoked.

The later verses continue to convey a sense of danger and a relentless pursuit of justice. Lines like "Know 'bout every move that you've been making" indicate that the singer is watching and aware of the person's actions, suggesting that they will not escape scrutiny or consequences.

Overall, "Venom" is a powerful anthem of self-empowerment, asserting that the singer will not tolerate mistreatment and will fight back with their own strength and resilience.

I found and listened to this while scrolling through new songs. And when I listened to it, I was so glad I didn't pass. Because I loved it so much. It sounded very different to me. The vibe of the song impressed me and while listening to it, I thought it was a really different song. Since I loved your voice so much, I wondered if you have any other songs to listen to, I immediately listened to all of your other songs. Of all the songs I listened to, I also really loved the songs "Struck", "Overdose", "Ignite" and "Proud". Especially the song Overdose sounded as different to me as Venom. I realized that you are really talented and you have many good songs. And your voice is perfect. I'm glad to know you now. I will follow you from now on and look forward to your future songs. Keep up the good work! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿค
