After winning Soapstar Superstar, he was offered many recording contracts who wanted him to release an album of cover songs which he didn't want to pursue. Later in 2006, he left Coronation Street to start working on his music career, which was his main passion.
In 2007, he released his debut single "Coming Down" which came from his debut album "Neon".
